The house I am currently living in was built in the eighteen hundreds - in 2001 the downstairs was remodeled slightly. At the end of the hall there were two bedrooms right next to each other with their doors hardly two feet apart. Their adjoining wall was knocked down to make one big room and the end of the hall was sectioned off with a new wall, providing an extra closet for the room - which was actually once part of the hallway.
A few months after we moved in I began seeing light behind the closet door. After turning on other lights in the rooms around it and waiting for the lights in the room above it to come on, I concluded that there is no leak of light through any space in the closet. It was coming on late at the night and had different behaviors - it would flicker on and off like an unstable flame, stay steady and dim or even become very bright. It would stay for a few moments or a few minutes. Watching the light became a nightly 'huh' and of course no one would believe me.
I've heard of ghosts becoming trapped or confused by their houses being remodeled. Doors move, walls show up where there were none and they can get a little lost, especially the older ones.
Discuss:
exclaim Has anyone here had ghosts lost in their own homes or heard of other cases of it?

I suppose that since the spirit is still confused and thinks it is still alive, it got shocked when you guys disturbed its natural order of things. 3nodding

Were I se to live was a verly new building but it was haunted because it was build were natived creamated there familys...

Well I had never heard of that, but it does makes sense that if the spirit still thinks it is alive it would be very confused and disterbed to find the place had changed.

An interesting position you're in. I'd suggest you try to record this when it happens. If it doesn't show up on film, try bringing someone to watch. Gather evidence, then investigate it.

I think what you've seen are orbs.. they can actually be caught on film if what you have described is accurate.. wink
