I started making this blanket as a christmas present for a pen pal in England two years ago, but I was overzealous and underestimated how long it would take to put together. It was just completed last week.

The TARDIS is full-size, new series dimensions. I did all the calculations myself. It's made out of polar fleece, so it's really warm, and a little heavy, but that was the only fabric I could find in the right colors at the time.

That's my dad and my little sister holding it up for me, and my grandpa in the background.

I can't wait to make another one for myself later!

*WANTS*

Would you mind putting up a sort of guidelines of how you did it? That is AMAZING and I would love to make one over the summer! heart

My overall pattern is somewhere in a box, and I don't remember where I got the PDF to print out the plaque, but it was full size.

I think I've still got the raw measurements on a picture somewhere...

Ah, yes. Give me a few minutes to upload this stuff to the interwebs!

Okies, here's my calculated measurements.

I'm pretty sure I just went ahead and rounded to the nearest whole inch for all of these, but these were the numbers I came up with when I did the math (8-digit multiplication factor FTW!) The only real difference I had between making this out of wood and making it out of fabric was I took 2 inches off the panel width and height measurements so I could make some beveled optical illusion pieces to make the blanket seem 3D.

As far as the stencils go, I made the "POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX" by hand using word but I don't remember the font or the size I used. It was a lot of trial and error that way. Just remember to center it on the TARDIS by the "U" and "C" and not the "B" like I did, mine's a little off to the left because of that.
And the plaque, I have the PDF files but I don't know where to upload them right now. I'm pretty sure I got them from tardisbuilders.net (I don't think this is the right link, the favorite was on my old computer and I couldn't get it transferred before it died). One's in standard and one's in metric and I think the metric version was closest to the right size.

Hope this helps you out!
