Clan System
A clan is mainly a tight group of dustling dragons owned by one owner, or perhaps a series of dustlings each owned by different owners. They can have a central theme, or they can be a mixed bag. Serpents and foxes are both allowed into the clan at the leader's discretion, and both are treated differently than dustlings.
Clans have no limit to members once formed.
Forming a clan:
An elder male (one that is at least 5 months old-- 'special' dustlings excluded) may form a clan by rallying or forcing three females to agree to live under his leadership. This may be easy or hard depending on scarcity of unclaimed females. The male may breed in character or out of character with any female he wants, but usually, the male offspring will leave the clan once it's an adult. Clans are mostly comprised of females, the male leader, and male/female serpents or foxes. Some weak males may take shelter in a clan if the leader is feeling kind.
Basically, you come to me when your male dustling has three females under his wing, so to speak. I don't care if you RP it or not, but if the females are owned by different owners, I need their permission too.
--> New:
If you RP your female being powerful (overcoming males in a fight) then a female can own a clan with overpowered males under her rule (as well as females). Twins can own a clan together.
Forming a clan costs 5k.

Cave, Desert, Mountain, or Town?
All clans will typically remain around a specific area, whether it be in the sandy desert, a dank cave, the rocky mountain cliffs, or around town. Desert clans learn to become very rough and tough, often surviving a long time in the sand without water. Cave clans gain very sharp eyesight from living in the dark all the time. Mountain clans become very nimble from balancing on the craggy mountainsides. Town clans have an easy life, finding water and food with ease. They also become very social with humans. These places also affect chances of encountering each other, as well as RP situations.
What are the benefits of forming a clan?
A male or female leader can breed as many times as he wants with any of the males or females in the clan. So, in other words, the 3-breeding-rule does not apply to females and the male leader in each clan-- but potions are still needed for same-gender breeding. The breeding rule still applies to all comet serpents, star foxes, and underling males. Other benefits may pop up in the future.
More to come, I'd imagine.
