Loading up our groceries there's a group of woman standing around the car next to us smoking. We finish up and hop in the van and the woman walk behind us (stopping us from backing out). One woman stops and just sort of stands behind the car on the other side of us. She's really close to our van so we're watching her as we back out to make sure we don't hit her. But something about the way she kept staring at the ground behind our van was bugging me so I kept watching her.
My pack of gum had slipped out of one of the bags and onto the ground. She freaking saw it and instead of pointing it out she stood around waiting for us to leave so she could grab it. I jumped out of the van soon as I saw it on the ground and yelled to her to give it back. There was a car between us so I couldn't see her anymore and for a second I thought she'd ignore me but after a pause she chucks it high as she can up into the air towards me and into the middle of the lane.
Genius. Seriously if people have to be untrustworthy thieving @#%%s they could at least put some logic into it. If she'd just stayed standing by her car until we'd driven off instead of standing by the other one I never would've looked twice.
