Quin sat upon a boulder overlooking the popular black market. Even before the incident he didn't like to go in there. Always someone had done it for him.
Each time life forced their roads to cross it took at least an hour of preparation and meditation. No one could know, a disguise was necessary.
His raven hair whipped around in the evening winds. He had long since decided to ditch the pony tail after it constantly gave him head aches.

His eye patch continued to click as it zoomed in on the stalls, checking for any major threats to his presence. Each of the three lenses rotated with each click and scan.
As this scan went on he made a mental note of things to be looking for while he was in the market. He metal tipped boots tapped nervously on the rock as anxiety grew. It was never fun to go among these scum, never.
With a sigh he tightened his fingerless gloves on his hands and draped his cloak over his shoulders. It wasn't that he was a cowered... not in the least. In fact he was a very brave man, just not a crowd type of person.

Luckily this would be his last visit for a long time. He would eventually have to return to Riot, though he was quite ashamed to do so...

Red hair held up by a clip, and excessive make up coving her fair skin making it look more tanned. Marcia wore a tank top and long baggy pants along with a pair of silver dog tags and a set of contact lenses changing her purple eyes green. A rather good disguise in her opinion, though the wig was as usual itchy. But such was life, she never came here with out a disguise.

"Oi how bout ye give me one o' those for half the price?" Marcia said to the clerk haggling in a rather flirtatious manner. Dante needed some small and hard to come by parts, that where well... Only sold here, which was a pain. Marcia really disliked coming here amongst the scum... all of them were filthy, brutish and well stupid especially if you knew how to pick em.

Marcia smiled as the clerk gave in after a little while, "Thank you." she said looking over her shoulder and batting her green eyes. She left the side shop and entered the market place. Well that was finished now at least. She'd return to the Hover cargo with the parts and they could get going again.

As Marcia walked out of the store she bumped into a cloaked figure. "Oi Watch where you're goin." she said in the accent she was using. She tightly held the package making sure that this one wasn't after the parts she had acquired.

Quin looked down at the woman with the odd accent. His brows furrow as she spoke about -him- having to be careful. It was so crowded here, it was hard not to bump into anyone.
"..It would be wise to keep watch where -you- are going." He bit his tongue before the words 'girl' could leave his lips. That was taking it to a personal level. Though he had seen her flirting to obtain those parts, and seeing that he had already lost some respect for the girl. Using sex appeal on someone to get a better price. Did she not think very highly of herself?
"These streets are packed, collisions happen..." His tone was rather calm, but cold.

Marcia narrowed her eyes and ignored his retort, she didn't have time for this. "Aye they be packed but there is still enough room for you to pay attention, and what's with the cloak?" she pointed to the hood he wore. Like really if your going to disguise yourself make it look like you actually fit in. This man seemed like he completely didn't belong here.

Marcia hadn't seen him before, but she was sure there was quite a few she hadn't seen before wandering around he must have just arrived. Marcia noted quietly he was rather uncomfortable in the crowed so why was he here then?

Quin pulled the hood from his cloak. By now people were starting to move around them as if they had always been there as an obstruction. A few people camped out near shop tents looked on their conversation with slight interest. Quin always took note of these people...

"You're getting a little personal there, but if you cannot live without that knowledge, it's good protection from the desert sun." He spoke in the same cold calm tone as before.

The patch on his eye clicked a few times as the lenses rotated. He coughed suppressing a laughter. So many people here tried to hide their true selves. Enough in fact he dare not bring up the question.

Ok yeah she was getting a little personal, she didn't really need to know that. "Whatever." Marcia waved her hand uncaring. She didn't need to talk to him he was just a pain. Marcia frowned this was getting too much attention, there was people walking around them yes but too there was people staring at them... It wasn't good when people took interest in something that didn't concern them.

"Alright Sorry I ran into you." she said simply keeping an eye on the people around her as well as the one she was talking too. Marcia kept a firm hold on the items in her bundle that cost her a pretty penny still.

"I'll be taking my leave now." Marcia began to move away weaving her way through the mass of people...

Quin pulled the cloak over his head once more and turned to walk away without a word. She wasn't worth the-
As he turned he noticed a familiar group of thugs. They were looking past him at the red haired wonder.
-s**t- He thought as he turned back around and walked uncomfortably close behind the woman that had just run into him.
"Keep moving." He whispered. "You've attracted some dangerous attention." This was the only note he could give. Though their fist encounter was a rather annoying one, but he felt slightly obligated to escort her to her ZOID. No doubt she would be safe there.

He knew these men and previously had dealt with them before. Lost a lot of good friends because of them.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 05, 2009 10:56 am

Marcia glanced back "You really think I can't take care of a few thugs?" She whispered to the man behind her. Marcia could easily take them down even if she looked seemingly harmless. She was quite skilled in marital arts, and knew the pressure points that would make them beg for their lives if she hit properly.

"I always attract dangerous attention." Marcia sighed wondering why he suddenly felt so obligated to walk her to her ZOID which was outside the town probably scaring the crap out of anything that walked by it. But at lease she didn't have to beat up the thugs... and waste time.

A loud terrifying growl could suddenly be heard and continued getting louder as she walked toward the sound, Marcia almost laughed seeing a few folk start walking quickly the other way. Other's stared curiously wondering what made the sound...

"Since you've decided to kindly escort me to my ZOID, you'll get to see something quite interesting." She said with a slight smile rounding the corner and exiting the little makeshift town, the familiar white metal bone armor of the Bio ZOID came into view.

Quin shook his head. "One or two maybe, but they are always numerous and always carry a weapon on them." Arrogance is the fall of many. Quin thought as he looked over his shoulder to see three of them now following. He knew this first hand, and the thought would forever haunt him. His shameful mistake caused the genocide of an entire community.

Upon seeing -THAT- familiar ZOID Quin's eyes narrowed. He had seen it rampage many many years ago. The damn thing took out a few ZOIDS and pilots of his. It was pilot less than, however. Its movements were clumsy. Now that it was in the hands of a pilot... well, who can say if it were a good or bad thing.
The red haired wonder didn't seem like a bad pilot. But she did seem very confidant.

As they left the market Quin stopped following so close to the red haired woman. He was now at a comfortable distance for both of them. He glanced over his shoulder to see that the three thugs had turned back toward the market in obvious terror of this woman's ZOID. It was an amusing sight.

Marcia frowned, another guy who didn't think she could take care of herself, great... That was one of the things she hated the most. It couldn't be helped because of the way she looked an acted. Marcia looked over her shoulder and almost laughed, for big thugs they didn't have very much bravery.

when the man's eye's narrowed she raised her brow "I take it you've seen him during his rampages before I found him." she noted walking up beside the bio ZOID. Marcia stared up for a moment "Hey bring your head down will ya."

The zoid continued to growl but lowered it's head as Marcia asked and opened the cockpit.

"Thanks." she responded placing the package beside her seat in the cockpit.

It wasn't so much that he figured she could not take care of herself, it was more of the fact that ten plus thugs with a gun each was not good odds for anyone. He knew he couldn't even fend off them alone. The very fact that she was able to tame this wild ZOID meant she had to have some great talent. And that was respectable.

"I have on several accounts." He remained where he stood even as the red hair woman approached it. "Killed many good friends of mine."
And it because of this ZOID he had to modify his own to at least ward it off when it drew near.

"How did you come to tame such a wild one?" He couldn't help but inquire. It had been such a problem before he never figured that it could be tamed.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 05, 2009 12:11 pm

Marcia listened and nodded gravely, she knew some about the damage he's cause but never met anyone yet that had gone up against him before. "I'm Sorry to hear that." she muttered, he needed to be calmed down by someone preferably someone that wasn't part of the unknown faction she had heard rumors about. There was never anyone left alive after that encounter.

Marcia smirked and looked back to Quin "I tell you he's still not tamed." It was true he was still hard to control yet calmer than before which was something Marcia still couldn't explain. "Calmer yes, tamed... well that's another story." He was being semi-tame now only scaring off people passing by, but it was a risk in itself bringing him near to the black market. if someone so much as touched him he might go berserk again...

"And how I did it calmed him even a little is my secret." she smirked mysteriously then hoisted herself into the cockpit.

"Oi how bout your name?" she called as the zoid raised it's massive head still growling.

"It was not your fault." He had to comment. It was not right for her to take on the burden of shame that came with this ZOIDS murderous rampage.

"Quin." He nearly said something else before he spoke, but quickly recovered. "And May I ask of yours?" He asked and folded his arms across his chest.
He would have to take a note of this pilot. She is defiantly someone who could get a job done. Unless he was mistaken by her inward appearance.

She gave a solemn nod.

"Right!" she said with a grin memorizing his name and she'd nearly forgot to tell him her name "The name's Marcia." she called down "Marcia Rao." No harm in letting him know the name she went by as a mercenary instead of the one she had told the clerk in the store.

"See ya." she said as the cockpit closed, Skullgreymon let out a mighty and terrifying roar shaking a few of the nearby buildings before it took off from the makeshift village toward something out of the range of most of the other zoids.

But his name cause a nagging in her own mind. Quin... mmm Marcia pondered where have I heard that name before? she thought it was strangely familiar and it was going to bother her till she remembered... it was going to bug her for the rest of the day...

As the large ZOID took of Quin smiled. It wouldn't be hard to track that ZOID if a need should ever arise. Though, not most people would ever WANT to track it down.
Quin looked back at the marked than out toward the desert. No doubt the thugs were still there. His errands would have to wait until another day.

He walked toward the desert, where the ground was soft sand, and vanished below the sands as a dune appeared suddenly.

"Well Saga, looks like it's got a master now. It would be best to keep an eye on your old rival...And as for the pilot, maybe Riot could value her an a close ally." He laughed as the ZOID growled, three times each in a different tone.
"I don't think we should follow... The ZOID looks to be under control now."
Than came a fourth much quieter hiss. "It is suspicious to where she is going, but that is no excuse."
The four voices grumbled in unison this time. "I could care less about that." Quin huffed.
The voice of a lion roared and the zoid lurched forward from under the sands. Quin quickly halted it.
The ZOID was quickly becoming anxious... but it still followed its master's orders to remain still.

"We will keep an eye on this one, but stop being so rash." The ZOID was quiet this time.
