Once, my cat Indie ran away from home. It's kinda weird because she didn't use to go far from home, but we couldn't find her anywhere, dead or alive. We even put posters up in the neighborhood, but no one had seen her it seemed. She never came back, so we assumed she was dead. ^^' I was really sad during that time.

Aww thats sad, Maybe Indie is still alive, its very possible, cats are like that, they sometimes find other people to care for them, maybe someone else started feeding your cat, and the cat thought they were her new owners or something, I hope she is still alive xx

Yeah, I hope so too. ^_^ Even though I would be quite angry/sad if someone else had taken her in, it would be better than if she was dead. ^^

My cat Polly went missing a year ago. I miss her so much sad . My dogs have gone missing heaps but we always found them. Once I rode all around my town in my pjs looking my my dog who we couldn't find. Just as I got back I saw a flash of black and white. She was playing with another dog in the yard across the road from our house...
oh and again my old cat polly was missing for about a week, she was with our neighbors, they thought she was a stray

Not missing. But my dog did use to love running out the front door so she could be chased.

The first dog that I remember was a Border Collie who would run away all the time no matter what. Then right after my family and I moved to Washington he got out and go hit by a car while I was at school. I still miss him, I was only six at the time.
My other dog was a lab/mix and she hated the Fourth with a passion you would not belive unless you saw it. My family and I went out like post people do on the Fourth. We can back home at about 11pm and back gate was wide open with no dog at all. Everyone was panicking because we had just moved into the house about a two weeks ago. That goodness it was not very busy at that time of night and after about only 20 min of five people shouting "FRIDAY!" She came running back home looking tail wagging just happy that we came back. We learned after that to just leave Friday inside on the Fouth and deal with the damage to the house latter.
