I'm writing a "children's story" for my english class, and I need to come up with a name for one of the characters. He's a human wizard who was turned into a furry creature that resembles a fox/squirrel/cat hybrid by an evil dragon sorcerer. He doesn't remember that he's a wizard because the transformation into a furry thing removed most of his memories, but somehow he still remembers his real name (or he can forget everything and get named something really goofy by the village headman, the storyline's still flexible enough to allow for plot twists like that).
Any ideas? (Also the hero's name is Niko and the headman's name is Lawrence, so those names are out.) Thanks!

I'm horrid with names. Sorry sweatdrop
However, when I write I like my names to have some sort of meaning or something. Or at least, I don't want it to randomly mean 's**t-for-brains' in Arabic or something. I usually hunt around babynames.com or a similar website and look for something there. And there's always the option of finding a random name generator via google if you don't care about meaning ^.^
Good luck~

I was thinking bout it for a while and I couldn't think of anything. I was actually about to give up when the name Chester popped into my head. Not sure if you like it was a name as well, but one idea is better than none right?

No problem, glad I could help. Names seem to just come to me. I'm lucky like that.

Well, following that line of thought, Pen, calling him Draco or something similar is fair game. As for the more human characters, why not use a book of baby names? They've got hundreds of names just waiting to be used.
