Lockheed: A series of explosions and disasters closed down a section of the Baldeau Company's mine, which was the lifeblood of the nearby town. Apparently a mysterious man named Desmond was responsible. Wodo Marah, who had been tracking Desmond for some time, was elated to find that he had been there and might still be down in the mines. The captain of the watch tasked her with finding and capturing him and, assembling a posse, she entered the mines only to find a great many dangers including a room of flames and a horrible, ancient creature which the group has suddenly found themselves up against in combat.
Tortuga: After his mission to deliver a message to a mysterious old fortune teller, Akor T'kened was captured by pirates who threw him in the brig to rot. For many days and nights, he lay in darkness until voices called out to him with dark offers of freedom and power. He took their offer and suddenly found himself on a beach with a castaway who told him of his terrible curse and newfound powers. Akor used his abilities to step through space and walk through the darkness to another Disc...a feat that no mortal has ever been capable of before.
Lyonesse: A wagon appeared in town one day, the garish property of one "Great Domingo", a showman and potions master with a dark side and a number of degenerate thugs under his control. Apparently, he had a problem with a mysterious gangster known as Deodaro who had done some wrong to him in the past. When some adventurers and assassins (Kaljar and Grubbers) tried to intrude upon his wagon in the dead of night, Domingo almost killed them...but their silver tongues landed them in negotiations with the potions master in a nearby inn where the conversation quickly went south with Domingo's accusations of them working for Deodaro. He burned down the inn and escaped, taking two hostages (Lily and Caddy) with him and interrogating them. When they didn't know anything, he dumped them on a rather bad side of town. The two were saved from a small danger by Kaljar, who tracked down Domingo's wagon trail to their location after barely escaping from the flaming inn. Grubbers was not so lucky. Kaljar left with Lily while Caddy departed from their company, disgusted by the man. She happened upon a distortion in space, which sucked her in, sending her reeling through space and time and onto Nod...right in the midst of a heated battle.
Nod: After meeting up with a strange Nubian named Ninny-Pooh, the wandering knight Evans the Twice Alive was given the task to find the missing Mayor of Charring Cross, whose absence has seen the city slowly begin dying. An investigation of the Mayor's manor revealed dark beings which assaulted Evans and an address in the Mayor's coat pocket. At the address (which turned out to be an abandoned clock-maker's workshop) was a man who had been previously hired as the Mayor's bodyguard before his disappearance; Ethan. Ethan discussed his circumstance with Evans before the knight parted company and the group was joined by Rucien and Kyute, who wished to aid in the search for the Mayor. In the shop, the group found a note indicating that the previous owner had moved on but left an artifact for the Mayor...a trinket which was nowhere to be found. The trinket was apparently an object of some note, capable of great destruction. A stone crashed through the window, thrown by vandals who the group chased down and interrogated. The young lads were part of a gang called The Jokers who had taken the artifact from the shop to combat another gang, The Stony Rascals, though The Jokers had no idea how to use it against their rivals. The group agreed to meet with The Joker's leader, Boysenbee, to rid the streets of The Stony Rascals, who had a powerful artifact of their own. On their way to the Joker's hideout, the group was assaulted by the same dark forces which Evans had encountered earlier in the manor, narrowly escaping the collapsing tunnels they had traveled through and encountering Caddy, who suddenly appeared out of thin air.
The group now meets with Boysenbee, leader of the Jokers.
