There is a special vortex that was just found by a renowned team of scientists. They conclude after months of research that it somehow is a rift through time and space. There is a catch though, once someone or something goes through they cannot come back again. Out of millions of people, you have been chosen to test this vortex. Which time, past or future, would you want to land in and why?:

A mad brainiac is on the loose! - he has developed a special ray gun that when used transfers the person hit into someone else's body - regardless of when the other person lived! This means that if the crazed lunatic hits you with his weapon you could switch bodies with anyone. If you could be anyone, in any time, who would you want to switch bodies with and why?:

Mohinder Suresh has finally perfected his power-giving serum and it is now being mass injected. Not only does it give you a power, you get to choose what it is. What power do you choose and why?:

One day while walking in a hot desert you find a trap door hidden for centuries beneath sand dunes. Curiosity overwhelms you and you step inside the hidden chamber. Once inside and out of the heat you set to exploring. There are treasures all around, but one golden goblet catches your attention and you pick it up. Suddenly a genie appears in front of you and tells you that he will grant one wish. What will you wish for and why?:

One day while out walking you get knocked over and hit your head. Sadly, you are in a strange sort of coma that makes you think you now live in your deepest fantasy. It's an illusion, but you don't know that. What is going on in this world of your darkest wants?:

You win a free visit to the best surgeons in the world. Not only can they change your eye colour, your bone structure, and your hair, but they can make it look so natural no one could ever tell. However, you can only get one thing changed. What will you change and why?:

You receive a time turner - only, it's so old you can only use it for one round trip. You have a specific purpose in using it, though: you have to change one event and one event only in history, regardless of the consequences. What event would you change and why?:

Because of your rare heritage, you are placed by the government in a slow-moving stasis chamber. You are allowed whatever you desire, including animals, except the pleasure of human company. One day you are told that you can enjoy the company of one other person in your room for as long as they keep you there. Who would you choose and why?:

All Gods and Goddesses co-exist and have roamed freely on Earth. These Gods and Goddesses have loved many times and have passed on their lineage to humans. If you were the descendent of one of the Gods or Goddesses, who would it be?:

The ruler of your country grants you a boon for a great service to them. They give you the person you hate and despise the most in the world. You are given free reign over them, even the choice of life and death. If you choose life for them, what will you do? If you choose death, how will they die?:

An all-knowing computer is created by a leading team of techies. Someone must ask the computer a question, and you are volunteered to be that lucky first person. The Instructions read, "Ask any question and it will be answered correctly." What question would you ask?:
PostPosted: Sun Feb 01, 2009 3:13 pm

1. First I would wonder at their criteria and how I was chosen but ultimately I would decline. I am rather attached to my life here. If absolutely forced to go, I would probably chose to go back a month or or in order to enjoy my time at Zac's all over again and make sure that Sara gets her Illinois ID so that she would have gotten that job.
2. Once again, I would rather be myself than anyone else and would thus avoid the prospect, if at all possible. Once again, I suppose if I were forced to chose, I would probably go with Prince Genji of Japanese literature. Though there is much I wish to accomplish in my life, I suppose it would still be amusing to involve myself in political intrigue and have sex with Japanese women all day, while living in the lap of luxury.
3. I've already answered this one, as absolute control over time. If that is too much, I would chose absolute control of time within my own body, ending at the last layer of my skin. I would adjust everything so that my muscles were their strongest and most able to grow more strength, my reactions their quickest, every nerve feeling at it's best, and every inch of skin at it's most beautiful. I would never age, thus living forever, and could not be killed by any force without or within, as my body would perpetually exist in the moment before any disease struck or any external force brought pain to my body. Even my teeth would have the clock turned back to before I had cavities. Complete personal perfection.
4. Eternal life, pure and simple...Let's return to that time-control issue, if possible.
5. Interesting questions but a man has to have some secrets doesn't he? Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. I'd probably live forever in a world that looks very much like one of my stories.
6. I would get the teeth with cavities replaced with real, actual, natural growing teeth. If he couldn't do this, I would get the hair around my eyebrows lazered off...It seems their expanding. The idea of changing anything else deliberately and unnaturally (that being non-medical/dental or not dealing with grooming-ease makes me sick.
7. As I said, I'm happy with my life now. Changing something in the past would destroy it. I wouldn't want anyone else to have the power to destroy the life I've constructed, either, so I would destroy such a machine.
8. It would not be Sara, as the company of Sara alone would be an invitation to madness. Choosing anyone other than Sara would make my non-hypothetical life miserable for time untold. Pass.
9. I find deities, by their very nature, to be too polarized and am myself to varied and mutli-dimensional to be so simply condensed and flattened. I find far too little of myself in any deity in the Greco-Roman pantheon (with admitted, possible exception of Hades and to a lesser degree Athena, with just a pinch of Hephestus...And perhaps Hecate). The Norse pantheon is a little closer to the mark with some more Josh-like elements in Odin, Hel, and Loki. The Egyptian pantheon really only includes Thoth. I am not well versed enough in my gods to elaborate or comment further, as most of my mythological studies were more creature-oriented. Of D & D gods, I see much of myself in Boccob in my mentalistic and cerebral approach to life, Olidamarra in in my rogueish, self serving attitude, and Garl in all of the things that allow me to relate so stongly to gnomes.
10. The leader of the Westborough baptist church would be crucified on a red hot lead cross.
11. There is no limit, so I suppose I would ask several, though nothing personally interesting comes to mind at present. "Is there a God?" and "Who was Jack the Ripper?" come to mind. Those would probably lead to more.

1. Personally, I would decline the offer - I'm far too content with my life now, considering that I'm now in a much better place mentally. If I was forced, I would probably choose to go back to about September/October 2007 and choose a different road to a potentially life-changing decision, even though it would definitely compromise my happiness now.

2. The mad braniac. Then, I would write ownership of said ray gun to myself, before switching back to my own body. A weapon like that would be detrimental to the world. Once it was legally under my ownership, I would destroy it, thus avoiding any legal wars or fines myself - since it was my own property I was destroying.

3. Time. I would ask for power to manipulate time. That way, I could sleep all I wanted, never miss the bank closing, never miss a train, in effect, never have a curfew (the bane of my existence), and always get my assignments and applications in on time.

4. The exact same as Josh: eternal life.

5. Exactly what's going on in my real world, with two small changes:
1 - I would own an iPod.
2 - My father's girlfriend would no longer wish I was dead, which would give me the opportunity to meet and develop the bond with my sister that I want and need.

6. My weight. Failing that, I would have either my eye colour changed to gray, or my natural hair colour to black.

7. You know, I'm really not sure. I don't particularly want to change my life, so I pass.

8. No-one. Bringing one person whom I love would ultimately drive me insane. I wouldn't bring my boyfriend as it would be a sure-fire way to get myself killed, and any one of my friends would also drive me mad. I believe that, after living without any human interaction for so long, it would just be easier to continue that way for as long as I am required.

9. Anubis. I've always been fascinated by him and the mythology and rituals which surround him.

10. I couldn't kill the only person on the planet whom I hate - it would play on my mind too much. I would choose life for her, and then I would allow her to live her life unhindered by my rule.

11. "Why can I not believe?"

1. Mm...not sure if I'd take that offer, if I can't come back again.....far too happy with how things are for me now. If I really had to, I suppose I'd go back to the Panic! concert....have my fun all over again, then live the same way back to this point. Dull, I know.

2. Again, I'm far too happy with now to accept this...but if I had no choice.....probably Haley Williams, Patrick Stump....an awesome singer of soem description, in a band that I love.

...Or, perhaps, Jane Elliot. Just because of how awesome she is.

3. I feel like I'm stealing Josh's answers....but time would be awesome. Failing that, I would choose flight, I think.

4. Isn't eternal life what everyone wants? Or at least an extended life...

5. Probably pretty much the same as what life's like for me now.....but I would be able to sing...I'd probably be 18, somehow....and the world wouldn't suck as much. No economic crisis, none of the pointless war.....hopelessly idealistic, I'm aware. ^_^ ;; Certain fictional places and persons would actually exist....Oh, and it wouldn't be so hot....

6. Purely medicinal wants, here. I'd get my spine looked at...see if they could fix it, somehow, so it wouldn't hurt the way it does. Same with all my sore joints...my bone structure kind of fails.

7. I hate the idea of messing up history....but if I had to, I suppose, I'd somehow find the first white person to encounter someone with dark skin, and slap into them not to being a moron and using it against them. -.- That'd be awesome, and oh-so satisfying, too.

8. Hmm....probably one of my really close friends....like Chelly. Heh. That'd be funny.....pretty sure we might both be insane by the end of it, but that's fine.

9. Erm....pass? Or, again, if I had to...probably one of the pointless and un-important ones. Like the Goddess of Flowers, or something. I really don't want to be important....

10. I can't think of one particular person I hate that much.....more just people in general. Can I have an entire town, maybe? That'd be easy....eh.

11. I would ask it...probably things I couldn't find out any other way. Is there a god, existence of afterlife, that kind of thing. Oh, and the time we have left before the Earth's completely obliterated.....that'd be nice to know.

1. I would want to go to the past.. my life is almost flashing before my eyes, there is no time for anything and it seems that the days are going by so fast I'll be 80 tomorrow.. I'd love to go back and be 15 all over again, knowing what I know now. But I wouldn't go without Matt..

2. I don't really have a specific person I would like to be.. I would just like to jump into a female celebrities body- any very famous celebrity. I wouldn't even mind being a celebrity with a bad rep.. just so that I had money and people everywhere could hear what I had to say. And I would do something very good with my money. And I'd go on Conan O'Brien.

3. I would chose the power to make time stand still for me and anyone I touch. Not only would I get to do more things in my life just for the extra time, but I could freeze time and walk right past the people who take your tickets at concerts and things like that. smile ~

4. I would wish for everlasting life that I could end at any time. Cause living FOREVER might get a little old, who knows?

5. I would be the ruler of the world.. but everyone will also love me. No one will want to hurt me. I would do great things and be able to preform miracles and majic.

6. I would have my boobs done. For sure. I wouldn't go over the top, I would just want the most perfect looking C cups. smile Being twenty in an A cup sucks. sad

7. I would go back to before Hitler was eighteen and kill him while he's taking a- you know what.

8. I would choose my boyfriend, Matt, of course. No explanation really needed there, I love him.

9. I would be a descendant of Lord Krishna because he is very beautiful and everyone loves him when they meet him.

10. I would have his hands replaced with plastic hands that could not actually grip but were only for looks. That way he couldn't harm anyone again.. and then I would have his entire life made into a movie so that he can see what he's done, and I would make him watch it over and over for at least two days straight while he is strapped to a chair. Then I would have everyone he's ever hurt make a video telling him how much he screwed up their lives or what he's done to them and how it affected them.. and make him watch that for another two days while strapped to a chair. Then I would have the government hold him up in a high security apartment he cannot leave and the only company he will receive is therapists, a priest and one solemn person who brings him food and necessities.

11. I would ask what really happens to you or your "soul" when your body dies.

1. I would decline, but only because I would miss those few I care for in my life. If that were not an obstacle I would travel back in time to ancient Europe. I have always felt that I was born in the wrong time, and that I would be much more at home in a more primitive world where strength (not just physical) and natural selection actually mattered. Survival of the fittest was the law and you survived and prospered on your own mettle. A time where warriors were kings and honor was a common virtue. If I could be described in one word it would be "warrior" and there is little room in this time for such ancient ideals as honor, courage and heart.

2. I would never under any circumstances want to be anyone but myself and I prefer my body over any that I have ever seen. If no choice was given however I would choose to switch bodies with Matt, that way I wouldn't really go anywhere and Matt and I could proceed to beat the brainiac and take his ray gun so that we could change back.

3. Trans-mental substantiation. Basically the ability to create anything you can visualize. This power would of course have to be controlled, otherwise when you have a nightmare or a random thought something very much unwanted could happen.

4. There is nothing that I would honestly wish for as I believe that I should be able to attain myself anything that I would wish for. The one exception would be that I would wish myself out of the desert I was in since I would imagine I was not there by choice.

5. I am in the time I mentioned in the first question and I am super strong and indestructible, endlessly searching the world for a good fight.

6. I would have them replace my bones with a strong metal, much like Wolverine. I've always wanted that kind of durability and though I wouldn't have the healing factor I would be able to take much more damage. The reason I would want to do this is so I could take on any dangerous activity without having to worry as much about permanent injury.

7. I would go back in time and prevent the Roman emperor Constantinos from converting the Roman empire to Christianity. I honestly have nothing against Christianity but doing this would prevent the mindless destruction of so many cultures and so much knowledge would be preserved that I think the world would be better off.

8. I would choose Alex, she is my world and I could never be anything but miserable without her. I love her more than anything or anyone and I wouldn't trade her company, even if it were only for a moment, for any pleasure that this or any world could offer.

9. Though I have no name for my deity I do find that she is similar to several Godesses in mythology. As such I would choose to be descended from either Artemis (Greek), Nótt or Thrúd (both Norse).

10. I would challenge them to trial by combat and let that choose for me.

11. Though I prefer to find my own answers, seeing the journey as being as beneficial as the answer, I would not pass up such an opportunity. I would ask where I could find some piece of hidden history, like an ancient tome of knowledge, a legendary weapon like Excaliber, Mjolnir(Thor's Hammer) or Hrunting(one of Beowulf's swords), or the location of Atlantis.

1. There are so many different time periods that I would love to experience first hand but since it would be a one-way trip I would have to turn it down. I would miss my family and friends too much, I'm sure I'd have fun with it for awhile but never being able to see or talk to them again would quickly make the whole experience much less enjoyable for me.

2. I wouldn't want to switch bodies with anyone. I like being in my own body. If it were possible though, I wouldn't mind being switched with a younger version of myself, it would be nice not having so many responsibilities again for awhile.

3. Teleportation. I get motion sickness pretty badly which makes travelling difficult...I have so many places I would love to see and it would be nice to be able to poof over there and avoid the queasy stomach and the day needed to recover from it. Plus it would really cut down on travel costs.

4.I would wish that my grampa had never had Alzheimer's so that he could have lived out the rest of his years, however many he had left.

5. I actually don't think I'm going to answer this one. ^//^

6. I am happy enough with my body that I wouldn't change anything major. It would be nice to have my leg and armpit hair permanently removed. I hate having to shave all the time. d:

7.

8. I'm not going to answer this one either. ^^;

9. I think I'd like to be descended from Poseidon, I've always liked the ocean but I'm not a particularly strong swimmer so I would hope to inherit an affinity for water.

10. I would let him live but he should be made to live through all the terrible things he did to the people in his life then after he had been through all that he should be forced into servitude...not by me, I wouldn't want him around but by someone hard and cruel who would make him feel the way he made everyone around him feel.

11. If there is no limit to the number of questions it could be asked there are so many things that I would like to know the answer to but if I can only ask one I would ask the computer how to cure AIDS. It's quite probable that someone else would ask that even if I didn't but I feel that it is an important question and one that deserves to be asked first.

1. I would humbly decline the offer, for my twins need me. However, if I had no other choice, I would go to the past. The past is what we know to be factual, and I'd expect things to be certain ways, while no one knows what happens in the future.

2. As scandalous as she was, I would love to trade bodies with Marilyn Monroe. No matter how bad her reputation became, she was ultimately the number one sex symbol of her time.

2. I'd like to have the power to make people infinitely happy, for I have a naturally nurturing soul.

3. I wish for my daughters to have nothing but the best for the rest of their lives, because they deserve it.

4. ^///^; I can't post that, due to the Gaia ToS

5. Nothing. I don't believe in plastic surgery being implemented for purely vain usage.

6. Despite how awful my relationship was with my mother, I'd go back to the last day I saw her before she died and tell her I love her.

7. I would beg them to let me have both my daughters with me.

8. I would be the descendant of one of the Moon goddesses. I've always been obsessed with the moon, and when I was a Pagan, I became especially influenced.

9. I would kill him, via chopping off his man-parts and letting him bleed dry.

10. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
