ok this has been bugging me for the longest time now,since I have watched the 2004 version on Phantom Of the Opera (over 10 times) who is the women at the beggining? with Raoul. Is that supposed to be Meg grown up, or Mme. Giry? because it is the actress who plays Mme.Giry, but I am ever so comfused.

would someone please help me out here?

I've pondered that question a lot myself so don't feel bad. It would make more sense if it was Mme Momma Giry since Meg and Raoul never really had any sort of significant contact in the film.
