Daralis was crouched down examining the base of a tree that had fallen over during a wind storm that night. She was wondering about how the trees grew and she wanted to know how it could get so big. She stood, her fingers on her chin as she thought over it all. She jumped up onto the fallen tree and began walking up the trunk. She pushed her hair out of her face as she piccked up a branch and looked at it.
"I wonder how old the tree is." she said as she thought about it. She looked up at the moon through the leaves in the trees and smiled. "Only you would know wouldn't you." she said to the moon. She looked back at the tree and jumped down. She would go talk to someone else and see if anyone knows about the age of trees. In the mean time she would walk around more to see if she could find anything else interesting in the forest.

Standing in his place, Bryant gazed around at the dark woods, as if awaiting someone or something to arrive. He had to keep his eyes sharp, to try and avoid being startled by it once it did come about. And sure enough, before long, he saw a dark figure gliding down towards him. If he hadn't been paying attention, he would probably have never seen it coming, considering he couldn't hear the wind going through its feathers.
Quickly, he raised up his right arm, where the owl perched upon promptly. It seemed that Kera had caught a small rodent this time around, which she soon swallowed once allowed to.
"Had your fill now?" he asked the owl, which turned her head towards him as he spoke up. However, her attention didn't stay on him for long, as her keen ears picked up on some noises from a distance.
Bryant looked ahead, to where Kera had started to stare off towards. For the time being, he couldn't see anything approaching. But soon enough, he was able to catch the faint outline of what appeared to be a gargoyle walking his way.

Daralis paused seeing a shape in the dark distance ahead of her. Her sharp eyes adjusting quickly to tell her that it was a human with its owl. She sniffed trying to catch a scent on the wind to tell if it was male or female. But the wind was blowing in the wrong direction. She looked at the human infront of her and studied it. She was starting to think it was male, and she was suddenly worried that it would try to attack her. She stood her ground and watched the human.
She had never been near many humans, especially ones that didn't try to kill her. She frowned and hoped that she wouldn't have to fight him or fly away, she was having such nice night in the forest. "Do you mean me any harm?" she called out from her safe distance. She watched him waiting to see if a weapon was drawn.

As the figure approached, Bryant was able to confirm that it was indeed a gargoyle. From the looks of it, she didn't appear to be hostile or anything, so he remained relaxed. He knew that a number of gargoyles did not take lightly to humans. Even with the general peace between the races, there still was tension. Most likely that tension will never dissipate entirely, considering the nature of humans.
After directing Kera to perch on his shoulder instead, he lowered his arms and studied the one before him.She was still a good distance away, so it was hard to really see much. And after she spoke up, he shook his head lightly before responding.
"I have no reason to try and harm you. However, if you were to become hostile towards me, I cannot say the same for that case."

Daralis watched the male and desided that she would be safe if she walked closer so she walked a little closer. "I have no need to fight humans. Why are you out here at this time of night though?" she called out as she got closer. She walked into a shaft of moon light poking through the trees making her self visible for the first time to the human. She was also close enough to see the male in detail as well. She looked him over and wondered why he would be out here with his owl. She pushed her hair back a little as she wondered how she needed to act around him.

As the female gargoyle approached, Bryant remained in place. Kera watched her come closer with a piercing gaze, before looking about through the darkness, hearing other soft noises about.
"I'm here, watching over Kera as she hunted for her dinner. As well as to study what goes about in these woods."
To an extent, he was also around to try and prevent trouble from springing about, but that wasn't something he was actively doing. Even so, he didn't really feel the need to explain everything he did out at night in the forest.
"What of you?"

She smiled. "Well this is my day time. I'm awake only now. But i'm studding the plants and trees. Trying to understand them more." She said as she looked around at the trees and plants surrounding them. "Your owl is very pretty. And i love her name." she said with a smile. "My name is Daralis, what is yours?" She asked as she walked a little closer. She hadn't been this close to a human before with out them attacking her so she wanted to see how he moved and looked and what he was wearing.

A curious gargoyle she seemed to be, and apparently one with little to no biases against humans. At least that's what Bryant was able to see thus far. The hood of his cloak was down for the time being, which probably made things a little easier for Daralis to see his features.
"Thank you. I am Bryant. A pleasure to meet you Daralis," he said softly.
It had been awhile since he ran into a gargoyle that seemed relatively trusting of him up front. But at least it made it so that this situation wasn't as tense as it could be.

Daralis worked up the nerve to walk a little closer and inspect him better. She noticed his clothing and his gear that he had with him. She looked at the owl, Kera he had called her, on his shoulder and smiled at her. She walked around him looking at his back and his shoes. She paused looking at the shoes and got down look look at them closer. What did their feet look like? They wouldn't need these leather things on them if they had feet like the Gargoyles...She started to reach out and tough the shoe when she paused, remembering that he was there as well. Feeling embarrassed she stood up and smiled.
"I'm glad to meat you as well. And I'm...sorry about that." she said feeling silly for getting carried away in her curiosity.

Kera tilted her head as she heard and then saw Daralis approach. But she had seen Gargoyles before, and this one was no threat, so she soon directed her attention elsewhere. Exactly what she was looking around at, was anyone's guess though.
When the female walked behind him, Bryant turned about slightly so that he could see what she was doing exactly. He raised an eyebrow as she lowered herself to examine his boots. Daralis was acting as if she had never seen a human before, which he supposed was a possibility.
Shifting slightly, stepped back to give both himself and the gargoyle some space.
"It's not a problem. I don't suppose you've been around many humans before though, have you?"

"No i haven't. The only ones i have been around have always tried to kill me or scare me off so i never got to study them well." She said with a smile as she pushed her hair back and looked at him. "Have you seen many of my brothers and sister up this close?" she asked as she folded her wings around herself like a cape.
She looked towards the trees as some squirrels scurried through the trees chattering loudly and chasing each other. She wondered why they chased each other all over like that. But she looked back to Bryant with a smile as she waited for an answer.

"I wouldn't say many, but I've seen my fair share close up. I can't say all my encounters have been entirely pleasant, but they weren't all disastrous either."
Most of the times he had run into a gargoyle that hadn't been happy with his presence had a reason to act as such. Even so, he couldn't judge the whole race just from the actions of a few individuals. Just as he couldn't do that with any other species on this world. Though, going off of what Daralis said, he would have assumed that she would be more wary of humans in general.
"You aren't worried of my presence at all?"

She liked his answer, though she was sad to hear that some of his encounters had been unpleasent, he seemed nice and she didn't like that some of her siblings could be hurtfull to the humans, not all of them hated their kind, so there wasn't a need to kill all of them or hate them all. She pushed her hair back and smiled at his last question as she looked him over with a smile and shook her head. "You don't plan on hurting me right?" she asked with a tilt of her head. He seemed to be ok with her, and her gargoyles in general.
