One day at the beginning of the year my family was eating dinner and there were 2 loud stepping noises on the stairs, and my mom saw a dark figure drift out of sight. For the next 2 days things that had been sturdily placed were falling off of tables and beds unprompted and I believe I remember hearing some footsteps outside my bedroom door at night. The third day, everything was back to normal. During this time I had taken an EVP and there was nothing out of the ordinary on it.
Also, whenever my parents go to bed I start seeing things moving all around me within 10 minutes or so, even when I'm not thinking about spirits and/or haven't really thought about them for a couple of days.
Do non-resident ghosts choose to come bother people on their own person-bothering-holidays? And why would they attack us for 2 days and then leave us alone?
