His name is The Royal Dragon, like the restaurant in Hong Kong. (For those who know their world records.) Dragon's a member of Half Price's flock, a poorer one. But, unlike most pidges from his side of the tracks, he visits the teamakers often, and he's quite cordial with them. It's just part of his business. See, Dragon likes to say he's a scavenger. And, sure... Every now and then he actually scavenges something, like the other scavengers... But, that's not where his food comes from.
Dragon is a creative pidge. Instead of just scavenging for his food, he scavenges for things pidges will want. Rich pidges. Pidges who don't need all their food... Like, say, teamakers. He finds them something pretty or soft or colorful (or all three) to adorn their nests, so they can show off to other teamakers. In return, he asks for some food. Depending on what they get, he can get a couple meals to a couple weeks' worth. And, while he's there, he usually picks up some trinket he can bring to a teamaker who doesn't know the client he stole from. If he's careful enough, he hardly ever has to scavenge at all.
Royal's really not a bad guy, though. He's actually quite friendly and very generous, especially since he's such a poor pidge. He sometimes stops by Spencer's to drop off some food for the chicks, when he thinks he got more than he needs from a job. Though, it's really not the smart thing to do, since business isn't always great... And, sometimes he finds himself starving for a couple weeks, eating nothing but whatever the rats haven't gotten to in the humans' trash cans... He only really started stealing when he realized that plain old scavenging just wouldn't cut it. He even has to justify it to himself by saying things like, "Well, I'm just making honest, charitable pidges out of these teamakers!"
That's all we need to know about Royal for now, kiddies!
