His ears twitched at what she had to say next, purple eyes watching the blind chicken girl over the rim of the dark chocolate Sin'aeis boy's mug. Worse than Noyama? Who the hell was that? He'd never heard of her. He let her continue - well, he was really just fishing marshmallows out of his hot chocolate, but we'll pretend - before speaking. "Havok's cool. I don't care. But I bet my protector's worse than yours. Wuss and a half." Mmm. Protector bitching. Isn't it wonderful? biggrin

Wonderful indeed. For the time being, Kilah had forgotten how much she hated who she was talking to. Her voice didn't even have the hostility it had before. "Are you kidding? Noyama's so dumb she's been here for almost a year and still doesn't understand anything. Like, she can barely speak English. Oh! And she's afraid of electronic stuff. Once, we got a microwave and she went crazy on it with her spear because the beeping noise it made spooked her."
