I'm writing a Law of Life essay for my language arts class and I've decided that I hate using metaphors in it.
If any of you could help me with this part, I'd love you forever and give you a cookie!
The paper is due tomorrow (Monday, January 26th) so please answer quickly!

No, I was not helping to get rid of half the world’s population, nor was I attacking children, but I refused to listen to what anyone else had to say, which could cause just as many wounds. My mouth literally flew open and my eyes grew big as a [THIS IS WHERE THE METAPHOR IS NEEDED]. An odd sensation had come over my entire body and would not let me go. Subconsciously, I knew that what I did was wrong, but my brain was slow as a sloth when coming to fully understand that knowledge.

I already turned it in yesterday, but I was just looking for a good analogy. I decided just to insert a similar two or three sentences later. Thank you though! (^_^)
