A great tree house is perched in the boughs of an expansive oak near the western corner of Charpia Island. A thin path has been worn towards it from the coastline, leading up to a strangely built staircase and a large balcony. Berries and vines from neighboring trees hang near the railings and curl around the wooden planks, but it all seems strangely well kept. Here and there a few Charpia skitter around happily cooing and squeaking with their friends.
This is the land-based Research and Study Center, often referred to as R.a.s.c.a.l. ("at land" rather than "at sea." We have a boat for research there too, don't worry.) Any and all current data regarding Charpia Island is found here; everything from extensive maps and documents on Charpia history to breeding information and fur pattern traits. New information is always surfacing about the island, as only a small portion of it has been explored.
R.a.s.c.a.l. is maintained by bluezjessi, the head researcher. A good deal of her time is spent out in the field, hiking in the undocumented areas and taking extensive notes. Orchid and Kauashi, two of the Charpia in her care, help watch over the house when she is out. If you happen to come by you will most likely be greeted by one of them.

Every now and then bluezjessi will host guild events here, so keep an eye out. :3 Prizes will sometimes be rather out of the ordinary; strange fruits on the island not researched enough to be in the main shop, artwork of you and your pet, or brand new certs for your Charpia! (Of some of those newly discovered places. ;D)
