1) I prefer this to be in past tense literate RP style. So quote when you're speaking please wink
2) Don't post smaller then size 9, and if it's size nine, make sure it's a dark enough color to read please, otherwise (Lural) can't read it.

 As far as she knew, Cow was unlike the other Charpia. She'd watch them frolic and play, but felt little inclination to do so herself. She was terrible at hide and seek- her bell giving her away every time. But still, Cow was mostly content as she milled around the home where she resided with a few other charpia. Given the unique assortment, she didn't feel as different here. But there was more, wasn't there? Were there others like her? Perhaps a herd she could mill about with or someone who she could sit with and talk about the interesting points of grass, or how she loved clovers above all other flowers. As she watched her fellow charpia playing, Cow slipped off unnoticed by the others. Their giggles and playful calls covering the sound of her bell until she could no longer hear them. The farther away she was, the taller the grass was, and soon it was tickling her stomach as she walked and bound through it, stirring up the grasshoppers from their resting places. It was marvelous out here. Marvelous, quiet, and just a little lonely.

 Uriel grunted as he rolled over in the pile of moss he had gathered on a high branch to sleep on. Like the other Charpia from his... Herd... He could usually be found in the hidden oasis on the island. Despite his affection for the others, he tended to sleep away from them; he was usually the brunt of the more obnoxious ones' practical jokes and they didn't stop, even when Uriel was asleep. He usually woke up with vines wrapped around his horns or his nose red-tinted from berries. Despite that, Uriel stayed close to "home," occasionally perched in a tree, as he was today. As he rolled on his moss, he managed to find himself with no moss beneath him. That is, he had rolled off the branch and was suddenly plummeting down to the ground through multiple layers of branches. With a loud cry he landed on his rump in an overgrowth of weeds- thankfully he was very not hurt as the branches he had fallen through slowed his descent. He rose to his feet and began plucking some spiky seeds from his rather ruffled and messy fur, removing all but the ones on his back as he gazed about the rather unfamiliar surroundings.

In the distance, Cow could hear something strange. It wasn't like anything she was used to hearing. Wait, was that a startled cry, or a dangerous animal? She hesitated a moment, looking towards where the sound had come from before very slowly starting to make her way towards it. She was low to the ground, trying to blend in with the short underbrush. However, her white spotted coat made it hard to blend in with anything.
She stopped seeing movement ahead of her. Horns? Oh no! It had to be a dangerous monster or something! She crouched lower. Why had she come this way? Shaking, she was starting to step back when a bee landed on her nose. She went cross eyed to see it before it's little legs tickled her nose enough to make her sneeze.

 Gazing about his surroundings, Uriel attempted to get his bearings to find his way back to the hidden Oasis as soon as possible. He stared up at the tree he had presumably fallen from and nosed around the ground. That was the thing about the Oasis. As nice as it was, it was rather difficult to find. After a moment of searching in vain for a path, Uriel froze. He was sure he had heard some sort of bell jingling close by. Without much thought, he walked on towards the noise- he'd never been one to listen to the warnings of the other Charpia to not wander off- and his curiosity always seemed to get the better of him. A soft grunt escaped the horned Charpia as he trekked through the brush. After just a few steps, a rather out of place white spot caught his eye. He moved around, instead of directly towards, and called out softly, "Uh, hi?"

"EEEK!" Cow squealed as the bee flew off and she had been, well, spotted by the other charpia. "Don't hurt me mr. Monster! I won't tell anyone I saw you!" Cow dropped to her belly and covered her face with her paws. Honestly, she needed to stop listening to Mistral what with his stories of aliens and monsters.
When nothing happened, she looked back up, peeping through the grass which seemed horribly thin and un-covering. But that's when she noticed it was another Charpia.
"Oh, ah, hello..." She said in a meek voice, looking up at the brown male. She tilted her head a little, wondering if he really had horns, or if those might have instead been attached to his hat.

Uriel simply stood there staring, mesmerized by the rather shiny bell around the other Charpia's neck. He noticed slight movement and had heard a flurry of words in which he only really caught "Mr. Monster." With a soft laugh, Uriel tilted his head in the opposite direction of the black and white Charpia, his tail flicking back and forth behind him. "I didn't mean to scare you..." he started, his voice nearly a whisper by the time he finished speaking. He didn't really do well around new Charpia. He always expected them to be like his "siblings" and to similarly tease him regarding his horns.

Cow shuffled her feet a little. "No... no, it's my fault. I..." She looked up at him. "Um... Cow." She said softly, timidly holding out her paw. She was still nervous about him. Those antlers were rather foreboding looking.
But seeing his tail wag a little reassuring, and her own tail twitched slightly, hoping to be friendly. Maybe then he wouldn't attack her?

The corner of Uriel's mouth went up in a small grin and he nodded. "Hi Cow." His gaze lingered on her bell as he continued, "I'm Uriel," he nodded. His horns coming dangerously close to Cow's face. He chuckled nervously and took a large back, stumbling over his own tail. After composing himself, he flicked the dirt out of his tail and unconciously nodded again, "Sorry, you're not from near here, are you? I've never met anybody from outside my family, so I'm a bit nervous." Uriel glanced up towards the trees, suddenly wondering if he had fallen further AWAY from the oasis than just down.

She cowered away from his horns when she had to go cross eyed to see them. "I... I live in a meadow. Near the other side of..." She suddenly didn't really know where she was. "Uh, well, no where near here really." She saw him eying her bell, and looked down at it, then held it up. "Do you like it?" She rang it once. Something needed to break the tension. What better way to do so then with a shiny object, right?
"Uriel..." She said his name, just to help her remember it.

Uriel nodded in reply to the question regarding the bell. He looked back up at her after a moment more and blinked. "What are you doing out here?" He asked softly, aware that she had moved back from his horns and not wanting to startle her.
"Don't you have a herd of your own?" He glanced around, himself, still unsure of where he was. Without much thinking and not giving Cow a chance to reply, he asked another question, "Do you know where we are?"

Cow had gotten so turned around now, she didn't know where she came from. "Um... I have- well, I guess you can call them a herd. They're rowdy enough sometimes." She tried to laugh at that. "Though I typically call them my family." She sucked in another breath, her nerves calming down.
"I was hoping you would know where we were. I think I'm lost now, but I guess asking you for directions is out isn't it?" She gave him a friendly smile. "I wandered away from home wondering if there were others like me. I mean, I'm kind of different from my family. I guess I was lonely. What about you?"

A quick shrug accompanied a soft laugh. "Sorry, I'm not very good with direction... And I fell out of a tree." he glanced down towards his shuffling paws then back up, "I sleep in the tree- otherwise my herd plays pranks on me. Sometimes they climb into the tree and do it, anyway, though..." He flicked his tail, upwards and managed to get a spiky seed stuck in the fluff of his tail. Without much thought he flicked his tail again, to rid himself of the seed, and managed to fling it... Right to Cow.

She flinched and stumbled back a step when the sharp seed pod struck her between the eyes. The burrs snagging her fur and sticking. "EEEK! Buttspikes!" She went cross eyed to see it and pawed it off her face and kicked it back at him playfully, hoping to tangle it in his leg fur or something.
She recomposed herself and tilted her head at him. "Your family is mean to you too?" She asked softly. It wasn't that her family was really mean. But Mistral teased her all the time, saying she was an alien charpia and it always scared Ritika. She sighed, thinking about it and muttered softly. "I'm not an alien..." Though she hadn't meant to say it aloud.
