So I've been depressed for I'd say a month? two months now??? The boy I really liked left back to Ohio. But I think he's just moved on and found someone else. My ex best friend called me nothing but a booty call and freak and a crazy person...so I turned around and just told her that her bf cheated on her. (Which is my ex) Which is true. So my ex is all sad that she might be breaking up with him...I don't know good riddance surprised she even believed me.
Ever since school started I'm only craving for a friend...just someone I could just talk to. Just someone I could hold and laugh with...I'm craving for any sense of friendship. There's nothing at home that I can run to like a small pet to keep my mind off of. I begged my dad for the past 4 days to get me a guinea pig...but the answer is still no. I know this all makes me sound like a little kid or something.
Adults get lonely too. I don't have a car. I'm still timid to go out and drive by myself, majority of all my friends are all out of town for College and I'm here stuck in a community college going on my second year. I've watched all my movies that I have, I played a huge majority of my games, read books, went out with my parents to the book store about millions of times..since that's all you can do in this town. I need to get a freaking life. I've picked up my music hobby's again but its hard to practice at home. I'm so horribly bored its making me depressed I refuse to drink or smoke...though smoking is kind of nice once in a blue moon.

I know how you feel in someways and I'm only a Junior in High School. Does the community college have college parties? You could always go to those but that can lead to trouble if you stick around to long at parties. Perhaps you could find a friend or two at those parties to, the ones that feel the same as you do.

If you are depressed and want to get out of it. Try seeing a councelor, they can offor you ways to get out of it, try renting a video game if you are bored. And try to make new friends, and if the depression is bad enough, talk to a doctor about starting medication. I suffer from depression too, and live in a small comunity, very few friends and not got my liscence yet(im 17). But just because of thigns like that, I don't dwell on my depression, I do stuff about it. It helps, honestly.

I agree, dwelling makes it worse. I have the small problem as you do, only I'm 16... I'm homeschooled so I don't get to see my friends... which I don't have many of. So I know how it feels. The best thing to do is do whatever you can to keep your mind busy, entertain yourself in anyway you can. That's what I try to do. Have you ever heard of the expression "Bored to tears"? ... it happens, so just make sure you don't get to that point. Go out for a nice walk, listen to music or even clean. There many things to do, but sometimes we just don't want to do them lol. I hope everything works out for you, and if you have any questions just PM me.

My boyfriend is 25 and has the same problem. He's quite anti-social and prefers to stay at home, but because he often uses video games and computer games and movies for his entertainment, when he gets bored of that, there's not much else to do at home. He has no hobbies and is reluctant to try something new because he doesn't know what he does and doesn't like.
You can also learn to draw, paint, or write... I myself was taught how to bead and make jewelry last summer, and it's now something I enjoy very much. biggrin
As others have suggested, you can go on walks or go jogging. If you have a bike and the weather is nice where you live, check your tires and go for a bike ride.
Is there a community center in town, or a rec center that would have activities you could try? What about a skate rink, or a swimming pool?
Listening to music is also a big thing for me. Honestly, Youtube can be a wonderful site when you're bored. Some people have uploaded entire shows or series, and it's just a matter of knowing what to look for. 3nodding I also use Youtube for looking up music or watching music videos.
Would your dad let you get a smaller animal, like a hamster or a mouse?
