I finally bought the first Volume of Deathnote today. I'm so happy~
The guy in the shop was so 'uber'~. I asked him if he knew about it (because they didnt have any on shelf) but I didnt think he would and he was like 'Yes! We have that! It's not on the shelf, zomg!', so he ran back to find a copy while I literally pranced around the store giggling with glee and looking like a complete dickhead in front of my friends. I didnt think Australia would have it yet. Alas, he came back and sadly said there wasnt a copy out the back.
'Awe thats so bad!' I cried, 'I'm a total fangirl for Deathnote... it's kinda sad...'
'Awe really, thats cute. I havent seen any girls buy Deathnote yet' he said
'Really?! No way!'
'It's true!' And then he tried looking under the front desk, and yay! He had one last copy sealed away and he said 'here we go! One more for the fangirl.'
'ZOMG! THANK YOU SO MUCH!'
And he gave it to me half price~ (probably because he felt sorry for my total stupidity). Then he took my name and said whenever a new volume came in I'd automatically have it on reserve. Aah~ The joys of being a regular customer....
I'm really pleased with the first volume as well. No spelling mistakes or inaccuracies as far as I was concerned, but Raye Penber was written as Pember (im used to Penber) but thats okay. I dont mind that at all. I dont mind Ryuk and Light either; and I was impressed by the small ways in which they made things like Takuo Shibuimaru's *various ways of spelling his name* work, and the notes for L. Really really pleased. I actually have a real copy in my own hands now - I love that feeling.

I bought it the day it came out, and I was speechless. It's so original and... I dunno. It's just great! blaugh It's definatly one of my favorite titles.

Ah, the joy or reading the first volume,lol. That was was when i totaly got hooked to Death Note. The story just has so many twists and turns that i just couldn't stop reading ^.*

I got Death note one as a christmas gift from a friend (as I've stated everywhere else). I was actually debating going and buying it for another friend for the same christmas party.... We did secret santa. I ended up buying DNAngel 1 for my secret santa, though, and was completely suprized when I opened up my present and got pocky and death note... It kicked a**, and I fell in love with it and went out and bought vol 2 in january. my brother bought 3 and 4. and his friend bought 5 which i have yet to read.

I got the first vol as a gift from a friend for my Bday, one of the best presents ever! I heard about it before but never bought it so I was so happy to get it. It took me awhile to read because there is just so muc info in there and I had to re-read some things twice, but I was totally hooked. I bought the next vol like a month after that ^_^

ahhhhh!!
i havnt bought it yet either!!
im so disappointed. cry
I went to Boarders last week and had a look for it! and basically peed myself.. then half died when i found it!
then i kicked myself for having no money... crying
wahhhh...
BUT MY FRIEND IS GETTING ME THE SERIES!!!
ZOMG THATS FREAKIN INSAAAANE!!
im ecstatic! im truly buzzing right now!
