Kira stared at him for awhile, then gazed over his shoulder at Melony, then back at him. "Fine."
Melony smiled a bit at the fact that this boy had gotten to her neice.

Akane smiled a little before he dropped his hands from Kira's face to her arms.
"Thanks. Just try to remain calm. I know it's not like us, but sometimes it is what we must do. I will always be here for you, and I want you to know that. Weather we date or not."
Akane blinked several times, realizing what he had just said.

Kira's eyes widened a little, and her deviousness returned to the glowing blue whirlpools of thought. She smiled deviously and asked, "Really?"
Melony just stared for a second. What?
Shade's mouth dropped. "He's kidding, right? Right? He's kidding!"
Jacob's reaction was... nothing. He ignored everyone, but let go of Shade as soon as she said something.

Akane considered saying no and trying to avoid the entire situation for a moment before he realized that he could not do that. Not now. It was too late for him to hide what he felt. Some how, for some reason, Akane had developed feelings for Kira. It didn't matter how it happened, Akane was where he was and he really didn't want to get out of it. With a sigh, he smoked.
"Really. Kira, I don't know how it happened and I know that you're probably going to laugh your a** of at me, but I'm gonna say it. Your family here is my witness for what I'm about to say. Kira....I.....I think I love you."

Kira blinked a few times and just stared at him. She had nothing to say, yet she wondered how this occured. She glanced over his shoulder and then back at his eyes. "Okay...?"
Melony's eyes widened. Oh my God, this boy just confessed his love to her
neice! ...That's new. Kira never attracted anyone in that way.... How odd.
Shade and Jacob's eyes widened, but for different reasons. Jacob did not really care what was going on, just surprised that someone so bitter had attracted someone so... someone with a lot of common sense.
Shade, however, laughed. "He's serious. He loves her? How in the hell did you attract him? Did you seduce him, or drug him, perhaps? Ugh, I don't care. Melony, it was nice seeing you. Jacob and I must go now." Shade then walked out of the room and Jacob followed on his own will.
Kira watched Shade leave and then smiled.

After Kira had spoke, Akane had begun to feel like a complete and utter fool. He ran his hand through his hair before shaking his head and moving around Kira, headed for the door. He didn't know where he'd go, if he made it out of the door, but he didn't care. Things like this didn't happen to him. He didn't love people. No one loved him. That's the way it was supposed to be. Either way, it seemed pretty obvious that Kira wasn't interested.

Kira turned, watched him begin to walk away, and placed her hands on her hips. "Where do you think you're going, honey?" She chuckled.
Melony was confused as she just stared at Kira. She went back to her dolls, but looked back up at Kira again.

Akane stopped walking, but did not turn around.
"Well, based on your reaction to what I just said...I thought that my leaving was best. You didn't seem particularly excited about it."
Akane remained quiet for a moment before he turned around.
"Wait...Did you just call me 'honey'? Why would you call me that?"

She chuckled with her fangs down. "Sometimes, people can be excited about something without showing their excitement. Beings like me, if you will, have to hide their excitement, otherwise they won't properly catch their kill."
Melony was shocked, "Wait, Kira, dear? What are you speaking of?" A crazed expression crossed Melony's face as she thought of all the possibilities. Lets see... she could love him, she could like him, she could manipulate him to do something to Shade....
She crossed her arms and pushed Melony's questions aside. "I just think it's too early for you to confess that to me."

Akane sighed and turned around, walking to the door frame.
"I understand. I have something I must do every time something I do fails. A self punishment if you will. I will be back in the cafe once I am done. You may follow me to where I am going, but I would not recommend it. You would not like what you see."
With that, Akane walked out of the room and out of the building.

"Ugh! He didn't understand my code!" Kira muttered, smacking her palm to her forehead. She then turned to Melony.
Melony peered at Kira suspiciously, but cowered away when Kira turned to her. "Y-yes, K-Kira?"
"I must go... nice seeing you Mel... and arguing around you." With that, Kira dashed out of the doors.
