It seems kinda nerdy, but hey, who wouldn't want to sound close to royalty? |

Seems awfully conceited, it sounds like a bad idea to us emo people. |

You heard me right, titles (and possibly badges with the collected titles on them)! I know, it would be nice if you just made up a title for yourself, but that would just be conceited unless you actually earned it somehow, right? Well, now by performing certain feats you'll get *points* for a title! Heres how it works:
Crew and higher members can give you points for performing various tasks of skill, intellect, personality, creativity, or even luck. Once you achieve 10 points, you'll be able to 'buy' your first title (or maybe just a last name for your grunny, I haven't decided) with them, of your choice. Thats right, just 10 for your first! Practical freebie! You of course keep the points once you do that, so its more like a thermometer: the more its filled up, the more titles you get, but you dont have to re-earn the points you used for the first one! Once you achieve 50 points, you'll be able to buy a second title, 100 points you can buy a third, 200 a fourth, 500 a fifth, and after that you get a title every 500 points you earn after that.
Skill: Could be anything, you could have particular abilities such as racing in Rally or fighting in KFP or fishing or even RP-style fighting in towns! You can get points for every n00b you slay or for every bucket you fill with fish! Intellect: There are a number of fancy mind games we have in the forum or play in towns, win at one and you get more points for the higher difficulty! Personality: Using your charisma to invite people into the guild, or even just being an all-around good person around the base. Creativity: Submit avatars into the arenas! Come up with new ways to base time! Have creative discussions! Or, you know, find new and exciting ways to kill or torture people, whatever is accepted by the supervising Crew member... Luck: Random number games, lotteries, or just those random items you get from CS boxes. The luckier you are out there, the luckier you are here!
Of course, the higher your rank in the guild the more points you start out with: Lower crew start with 10 (enough points for 1 title already), Council High Crew get 50 (2 titles), VCs get 100 (3 titles), and the Leaders start with 500, for up to 5 titles (4 titles plus an extra for the default "Leader of the GCOD" title). If you're promoted, either you bump up to have the starter number of points for that rank or we add that many to your cumulative total, whichever works better. And you dont HAVE to get a title immediately, it would just be nice to keep track of your own titles by getting a new one.
If all goes well, we can make badges with your collection of titles so you wont have to keep track of your own every time you write! No, I'm afraid lower ranked members won't be able to start with epic titles like 'Almight God of Grunnies' or 'Commander of 10000 legions', but you will be able to have things like 'Her Majesty's Knight' or 'Wizard-in-Training'. And yes, because of this 'awesomeness-restriction' rule, you will be able to go back and change your titles later for no point cost.

Heres an Example- As the Co-Leader, I get 5 titles:
Chewy, Co-Leader of the GCOD Chewy, Grunny Minister of Magical Affairs Emperor-Theurge Chewy D. Dragonilus Chewy, Archmage Trainer of the Casters
And whatever fifth title I decide to add. Maybe something to do with 'The Library' or something... Plus I get points for creating this forum, expanding on the class system, expanding on the defense system, managing the guild comic, inviting members, and however more points Alo wants to give me for helping out. About enough for a sixth title, no?
Restrictions: You cannot give yourself points. You need someone of higher rank than you to verify the number of points you have before you decide to get a title. You cannot give points to someone more than once when they only earned the points once: you cant repeatedly give someone points for winning a contest or whatever. They get bragging rights, but it'll get old. Only VCs or above can take away points, but only a set amount for every time you offend them or the guild. You cant change one of your original titles completely (sorry). You can, however, change them in little ways: From something like 'Soldier of Project Fluff' to 'Knight of Project Fluff' or 'Soldier of the Grunny Queen', or 'Apprentice to Chewy' to 'Chewy's Assistant' or 'Sorcerer-Apprentice of Chewy'. No, your title does NOT have to be restricted to your job. It does, however, have to have a certain amount of 'epicness' based on your rank in the guild. That means that you cant join the guild and become a knight the moment you earn a title- but, you can become a 'Page' or a 'Squire'.
And by 'epicness', I mean: Members get 'apprentice' titles (Squire, Mage-in-training) Crew get 'adept' titles (Knight, Sorcerer) VCs get 'noble' titles (Lord, Wizard) And Caps can go just about anywhere... though not too high, we wouldn't want to intimidate yalls. (King, Archmage)
