Quote: Creating a subforum will charge 2,500 gold to your guild account. Please confirm that you want to create a subforum. Your guild account currently has 2665 gold.
I'm excited about this. Finally a use for the little bit of gold we have in the acount.
Do we want a subforum?
Do we want more than one?
What is the best way you think we can use this new feature?

Excitement! It's about time they did something with the fundage 3nodding
Question time....
1. Would we use the subforum? If we wouldn't use it, then there's no use in getting one.
2. If we decide to get a subforum would it make sense to have all OT conversations there? That way we're not flooding the main forum with OT.

I bought one with some of my gold just so I could check it out.
I stuck the biggest OT thread in there, and any other OT threads should go there if we plan to make any. but its just temporary, so don't make yourself at home just yet, I may lock it up later on.

either we have a subforum for each movie, maybe even one for TAS and another for comics, to keep it nice and organized and people can post multiple threads to discuss various minutae pertaining to that movie (as opposed to the one thread per movie currently), or keep the guild how it is now and use the current subforum as an offtopic. if you're using something just because you CAN, it's generally a bad idea.

I was thinking about expanding the guild a little bit, and branching out into more areas of entertainment. I considered the subforum for each movie idea, but theres just not enough to discuss about one movie to justify the cost. I base this decision on the activity in the threads we have currently. While Smith is a brilliant writer and director, and we all love his work, theres only so much we can say about one flic before we run out of on-topic discussion. I am definately keeping one around for off-topic discussion.

I would like for the subforums to be more general. They need to be for something that would really be able to benefit from several different threads. Although Smith has a lot of usuals in his flics, not a lot of them really get around enough to spark more than 1 or 2 threads about them, or what they are doing, so a subforum would be wasted on them. You are more than welcome to make threads in the main forum for that though. We already have one for Jason Lee's recent role in My name is Earl.

I think we don't really need subforums... Isn't so, that we have sooooo many threads in here... I would save the money first and if there comes a time we really need a subforum, we can still open one later...
