Q: In Death Note, the Shinigami Ryuk refers to the exchange of half of Raito's remaining life with the eyes of a death god more than a few times. Do you think, if Raito had done the exchanged, it would have assisted him in living longer?
My Answer:
I believe so. It is very odd to me that Ryuk would continually bring something such as that up. Also, when he requests the trade, it is usually at a critical point in inflicting Raito's goal. Also, many times Ryuk is staring at the date in front of him.
I wonder how much longer he would have lasted though.

I do that all the time. Right now my big one, although I dought it is, what is Ichimaru Gin wasn't really evil? Now mind you, I am a few weeks behind in the English version, don't really watch the Japanese version unless I am behind and I never read the manga, although I want to. Oh and I have nothing againt the Japanese version, I just don't watch it.

One of my favorites to "what if" is the anime called Chrno Crusade.
Like: What if Shader turned good or what if *SPOILER ALERT* Chrno and Rosette lived.
Another fun one to play with is Full Metal Alchemist like What if Roy Mustang became Fuher.

I've only ever what-ifed one anime series. Angel Sanctuary. LOL The extent of the what-if involves Sara realizing that she really loves a different character and how that causes Setsuna to just let the earth die...it was kinda funny...XD

i dont come cross many what if's. the only thing that scares me and is HUGE what ifs is are they gay, or if she is a man and vise-versa. that changes the WHOLE story in an odd direction. Ouran Host Club for example. HARUHI'S A WOMAN?!?! Shugo Chara though didnt change to much except for the fact nadeshiko will never return xD
