. WHAT ARE LYTES? .
The Lyte Directory is an archive of all the Lytes that have been released at various HyTech events.
These dapper little creatures are just what their names imply - Hyte-lites!
Coming up to about hip-high, they possess humanoid form and our trademark gem-like eyes, but retain more animal characteristics than the regular Hytes,
spring full-form from their Prototype Containers, are mass-produced for events, and come dressed in their respective spiffy outfits!
While they are too independent to be certed with your Hyte, they make excellent pets and sig-candy for yourself!
While Lytes do have mouths, they are rarely visually captured with them, and indeed, some never seem inclined to speech - but many very much are!
Some of the Lytes are designed to look obviously male, and rarely obviously female,
while others are designed to be androgynous enough to be whichever you decide.
♠ Each new type of Lyte is usually released in an event-limited run to accompany special events, whether as sales items or free prizes.
♠ They come initially enclosed in giftbox-shaped prototype containers, that self-release on the appropriate date to reveal your new Lyte.

♠ Lytes are fully RP-able, but will not grow further and are not able to breed

The Byte Directory is an archive of all the Bytes that have been released at various HyTech events.
Grab a Byte for your Hyte - or for yourself! Sentient and intelligent, these little guys make great companions for your Hytes, or cute little pets for yourself. Bytes were first created when Demi baked a batch of Gingerbread People at Maxx's behest that were somewhat too…severe for any of us to consider eating - making them perfect test subjects for Jun's newly conceived molecular-assimilating artificially-sentient reconstruction nanites. By assimilating the molecular code of the food item, the nanites absorb and reconstruct the item, adding suitable protective volume and a singular sentience to form a self-contained, mobile, and fully sentient construct. They're just like little [food] people - and while some Bytes never seem inclined to utter a word, some never stop talking!

♠ They come initially enclosed in orbs, and when the nanites have finished reconstruction, the orbs will self-release to reveal your new Byte.

Anyone can grab a Byte - whether you own a Hyte or not!
♠ If you do own a Hyte, you may opt to have your Byte added to your Hyte's cert as a companion.
♠ Default Bytes can have their names registered in the directory
Note: If a piece is broken off, the missing portion is automatically reconstructed on the core item - the nanites in the separate portion will then dissolve tracelessly,
rendering the piece as freshly edible as it was on the day it was made. So don't worry about poisoning your Hyte!

Blytes are the unholy union of Bytes and Lytes...a GMO mash-up that should never have happened but did!!!
Perhaps because of their one-of-a-kind statuses, they usually seem to have very unique personalities...
♠ Who knows what may happen if Blytes are mass-produced? Nobody - and we don't intend to find out!
Unless something terrible happens, every Blyte is a unique custom - tailored to the abominations their...lucky owners dream up...
