Shameless Werewolf

The moonlight poured into the cave tunnels from the air shafts and cracks in the stones. Brown eyes shifted from side to side, ears shape from the eerie silence that came with the cold snowy weather of the season, muffling everything. Those eyes spotted, at each shift, at each sound, the many bat pokemon, zubats, golbats and crobats, looking back at him with almost glowing eyes. The rather well built man sneered back at them, he wasn't afraid, never afraid, of such little filthy things. A jolt of pain came through his thoughts and his hand lightly brushed against the three slash wounds on his arm. His crimson blood had been pouring slowly down his arm when he had ran into the caves for escape. He had never expected this, even less for someone like...Well, thinking back. He didn't seem normal, did he, he should had known better then to trust him.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are..." A voice like silk whispered into Harrison's ears, making his guts twist. No, he wasn't afraid.

"Now you are just being difficult, little murderer." The voice murmured, a soft breeze of cool air touch his ear and he jolted away from the corner, half expecting to see what had cause him to hide in this place, but there was nothing there. His heart beat started to quicken.

"I can hear you breathing...I can sense you heart pounding away its last beats...I can smell your blood...and fear...." The velvet voice wrapped around him like rope, his body refusing to move at the commands of his brain. He wasn't afraid, he refuse to be afraid.

He close his brown eyes and tried to relax his now panting breathing. It took a couple of minutes, but he manage it. There was no one here, he got scratch from a tree, he knew that, he had been startle by Stantler and knocked into the branch. The voice that follow was nothing, it just his subconscious trying to make him feel guilty for all that things he did. There was nothing here, there was nothing here.

"Open your eyes...." He felt the cold breath against his face. A thick scent of herbs seemed to perfume the air. His eyes open, pupils dilating in the darkness of the shadow casted by much taller man, but they soon contracted into just two dots in the brown pools as he stared at this figure looming over him.

The white hair spilled over each shoulder, like waterfalls, illuminated in the moonlight that leaked in. Shadowing the face, until two light grey eyes open, almost like two moons dancing in sinful mirth. A handsome face was twisted with a smirk that befitted a demon, sharp fangs that seem a little too large for a human glint in the danger man's mouth. It was almost a completely flit from the healer man that had stopped by the town to resupply. There was no trace of kindness, not even a trace of a merciful and short death could be found there.

"Whatever you think of doing..." Harrison said, proud of himself that his voice had not quiver. He tried to push the man away, but found that he was pin against the rock and his arms were held in place by the man's hands. "I am sure as hell I am not going to die if I can help it either."

A low chuckle came from the man that made his blood run cold, a low hit on the head and everything went dark. When the brown eyes reopen, they notice a shift in the moonlight and the dizzy feeling. Hours must of had pass. A jolt of pain from his neck made hims look down, there were some traits of blood on his jacket. His eyes flicker up again, and saw the monster, leaning against the opposite wall, letting a crobat lick the blood clean from his own neck. There was blood spalshed around his mouth and down his chin, damping the gotee he had, the crimson ran down his neck and some on his chest.

Harrison tried to move, but found his body heavy as lead as he stare at this strange image. He saw the moon-like eyes open and target on him. "Moonlight...to bathe in it and blood, its almost like out of a story book, don't you think?" The velvet soft voice spoke, there was no hunger behind it anymore, but rather a sated tone. As the man moved away from the bat pokemon and the light, Harrison notice the almost white iris seemed to shift to the familiar steel-blue he had seen back in town, when the healer had seen peculiar, but normal in behavior.

He saw the man starting to walk away, the shuffle of his long white coat eerily cut through the heavy silence. A grunt came instead of words from his lips, making the monster look back. "Oh? Oh of course, I suppose I should explain to you. After all, you are not long for this world." His blue eyes flicker towards the tunnel that surely was to the entrance of the cave. Harrison then notice the snapping and growling that seem to be coming from there.

"You see, you have done some very bad things, and since you are a very bad person, I thought I would get a free meal from you." He smiled, the once white teeth had a sickening taint over them. "You, right now, don't have much blood left, I am afraid, but the bats will be delighted to finish you off for me. Isn't that right, love?" He smiled, scratching lightly under the chin of a zubat that had come to perch on his shoulder, sniffing at some of the blood that was still on him.

"You said I wouldn't get away with this, but believe me, I am. Your 'laws' do not do well with me." His eyes flicker elsewhere once again. "And there won't be much left of you to began with, maybe some bones. You'll be just another tragic, or rather not-so-tragic, I am sure the folks in town are very aware of what you did, accident in the wild caves, full of 'dangerous' pokemon. I can hear the houndooms and absols, already fighting over the meal they have sniff out. Canine pokemon that were very wronged by you, I am sure they will be delighted." He smiled. "Don't worry, all of this will end some time tomorrow." Shoo'ing the zubat away, he smiled widely, kindly to the pokemon before he started to walk away. Once out of view, his velvet voice carried back.

"May they have mercy on you in the afterlife..." It sang.

Adriel woke up with a startle, his fingers grabbing tightly at the blankets around him, his body was sweating, convulsions breaking lose through it. His heartbeats awakening the sleeping persian by his side, who call out in reassuring purrrs at him.

His breathing came in short bursts, but slowly became elongated as his heart and mind stopped racing each other, he rest his face upon his palms, his fingers laced with his long white hair as he took in breaths. It had been a month ago and it came back to hunt him now. Rising out of the tent into the snow, they weren't far from a small city, but he couldn't tell you which one. They were about a mile off, he could smell the smoke and fumes of humanity. The snow was white all around them as he picked out his black long coat and pulled it over his bare chest and back, covering them but leaving it open at the front but for a single button.

The cold had never truly bother him. His blue eyes seemed tired as he made a small fire and let water boil. It was late afternoon and it was one of the coldest times, the coldest, of course, being near midnight. As the water boil, he rummage through the cart's contents, pondering his dream. His hand came upon a newspaper he had purchase, the reason why his dream haunt him now. There was a small article about the reminds found in a cave of a townsperson that had gone missing. There was just bones left, but the police was unsure if to rule it as suicide or accidental. The history of the man was given briefly, the reason of suicide coming to play was because some obscure crimes the man had committed.

He close his eyes, trying to not laugh at their vagueness. The brown eyes flashed behind his eyelids and he sighed, reopening his eyes. It will eventually go away. He never felt guilty for long. Sitting down, he prepare himself and his two pokemons some tea and began drinking. His abdomen seem to contort in a way it shouldn't had and he sat the tea upon the snow, traces of blood in it. Shaking his head, he put down his cup, ignoring the looks from the pokemon as he went to the cart and rummage for a certain box and medicine.

Dreydonna, upon having evolved, had begun to form very strange ideas. She liked breaking rules more. She had even left in the middle of the night from her trainer's house and drifted aimlessly until she had sensed an awful, guilt-filled dream. She had followed this until she arrived at Adriel's tent, but by then, it was too late. It was just as well; a dream that was filled with so much guilt was bound to give her a stomach ache.

The Haunter watched with some amusement as Adriel and his pokemon had tea. She liked Adriel; he had so many emotions that he suppressed... It was like trying to open a bag of chips. The chips were a delicious treat, but you couldn't quite get at them. Dreydonna drifted silently closer, looking in Adriel's cart as he sifted through it. After deciding the contents were boring, she gently poked the human with the spear he had recently given her.

Adriel arched an eyebrow when he felt the tap as he grabbed a small bottle. He ignore it for a few more seconds as he pour out three pills, close the bottle and put it away, turning about, he popped the pills into his mouth and swallowed them dry as his blue eyes landed on the ghost Pokemon. A little smile began to play on his red-stain lips. "Good afternoon, Donna, its so good to see you once again." He said with a velvet voice. He felt one of his hand shake at his own voice and he pulled it behind his back with his other hand, calming away the tremble with skillful fingertips.

Dreydonna tilted sideways, as another pokemon might curiously turn their heads. She sensed unease in Adriel, but felt no urge to exploit the momentary weakness; Adriel was a friend. Dreydonna was unsurprised by the traces of blood on Adriel. She was curious enough to want to ask what was going on, but she could not speak any human language. Haunter?" she offered, her voice as solid as shadow and as welcoming as the night. Yes, she had changed from her days as a mischievous gastly.

Dreydonna used her spear to sift around in the box. She found the bottle that Adriel had removed the pills from and prodded it with the blade. "Aunter, Ha!" she gestured to the bottle. What were those for? Would she get in trouble for stealing them? And, most importantly of all, why did Adriel have them?

Adriel raised an eyebrow as the ghost pokemon began questioning him. It wasn't hard, normally for him, to give a vague guess what a pokemon wanted. He wiped away the blood from his lips, noticing now that he probably got it from when he spit out his tea. His eyes looked to the bottle point out to him. "It just medicine, my dear." He smiled with gentleness. "Something that helps me..." He thought about for a moment. "It helps me stay stable." He said, unable to put it any simpler.

He took another bottle, this one larger and with a crimson liquid between. Walking to the fire, he made an inviting gesture to the ghost pokemon. "You are far from your trainer, Donna, what kind of trouble have you been getting into?"

Dreydonna cackled at his question. She had no guilt and no fear. She was unstoppable! She floated closer to the two pokemon, eying them mischievously. She glanced back at Adriel, cracking another grin. She made a stabbing gesture with her spear to show him exactly what she had been doing with his present.

True, she had not exactly attacked anyone, but many things had fallen and broken, and more than one person had given a scream. Dreydonna was truly turning into a horror. Her poor trainer, Renekai, did all she could to keep the poltergeist out of trouble, but it was impossible. Some people claimed that trouble and danger followed them no matter what. Dreydonna did not believe this. She makes the trouble!

It is very much fun to select one person or pokemon and harass them undetected. Of course, terrifying the masses was fun, too. It depended on how she was feeling. Dreydonna sidled ever nearer to SongWriter and got ready to scare him. The pidgeot seemed more likely to be startled than the persian, anyway.

Adriel chuckled as he watched Dreydonna's antics, scaring the poor pidgeot out of his feathers, sending him up in the air in two seconds straight. The man laughed as Writer flew off and perched somewhere else, with a deathglare on his face. Faraon seemed oblivious as he finish his tea, it seemed the feline had selected hearing this days.

The man smiled as he looked at Dreydonna before taking a swing from the bottle, letting the red liquid slipped down his throat with ease before speaking again. "I am glad you are enjoying your present, Donna."

Dreydonna grinned. What should she do next? Maybe she could try the old persian, after all. He couldn't see well, but he could hear. Dreydonna made herself only semi-visible and began creeping up on the calm cat. She was much more careful on this expedition than the first, for an elderly cat still had its claws. At last, Dreydonna found herself fairly close.

She slowly moved the spear forward, closer and closer. When it was less than an inch away from the cat's nose, she whispered, "I know what you have done. I've come for revenge!" With that generic message, she pushed the spear forward to p***k the persian's nose.

Faraon's ears moved slowly, to Dreydonna's misfortune, his whiskers flicker and took in the information that they bought. His head jerked quickly, grabbing onto the tip of the spear with his jaws and throwing spear and ghost away from him. "You know nothing of me, child. Come back when you are witness what I have: the world." He answer simply and calmly.

The human smiled a bit towards his persian before he looked at his bottle. It was almost empty. None the less, he had no desire for its contents, he wanted something fresh. Sighing, he put the bottle away and rose to his feet. Both his pokemon had their senses train on him at once, but he waved them off gently and they calmed as he walked away from the campsite.

He rubbed his face and sighed, the medicine was doing little to keep his mind that night. How long ago had he fed? A month? Or had that last one been last year? He couldn't truly remember. Night like that one tended to be blurs he blocked from his mind. He kept walking with some exhaustion that wasn't physical. His mind almost going all the way back to primal as he tried to concentrate on just walking. He wanted a victim, but who? He couldn't just picked off someone randomly. Thoughts moved rapidly through his head, voices coming from the depths of his darker part urging him. His mind eye locked up on the image of a man he had seen days earlier in the nearby city. Yes, the perfect prey, one more person this world could do without, truly. His mind gave him any information it could until he deduct that the man was either in the town around the city or in the woods. Either way, he would find him and have him as his victim.

Dreydonna cackled as she spun away; as she had thought, spooking the persian was much more difficult than was worth her time. Instead, she recovered herself, hefted her spear, and floated off after Adriel. She had seen him gesture that he was not to be followed, so, of course, Dreydonna was soon right behind him. She sensed that he was looking for something, though she wasn't sure what or why.

Dreydonna approached Adriel and flipped over to float upside down. "Ter?" she asked, wondering what he planned to do. She suspected that he might try to make her go away, and the thought pleased her. It was much easier to be a pest when your mere presence was annoying.

Adriel snapped out of his trance when he heard Dreydonna. His white eyebrow arched up for a moment until his brain was calm enough to register the questing tone. "Ah." He muttered in response, which made little sense to the pokemon.

His brain looked back in information about Haunters. While he didn't mind pokemon company for the most part, he did have a restriction, he wouldn't allowed most domestics to follow along, his own pokemon or any psychic pokemon, even less one that domesticated. Keeping his eyebrow quirked up, he kept analyzing all information his brain could supply. For the most part, no, he wouldn't mind taking her along, there was little she could do, even if she witness a murder, chances were, she would be unable to rat him out. Not that he thought any pokemon would hold it against him what he was about to do.

"I am going to do something very very bad by the standards of humanity." He finally answered with a dark velveted voice as a smirked painted itself onto his lips. "You must promise me you will not interrupt me, this is something I must do, and if anything goes wrong, I could be killed. After this, you will neither repeat in word or attempt what you will witness. This is bad in a way that no one will laugh, not I, nor anyone. What I am going to do is consider murder in cold blood. Do you understand this, Dreydonna?" He used the whole name of the pokemon, just to make sure the seriousness of this was put through.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 26, 2009 1:36 pm

Dreydonna turned right side up, the grin gone from her face. With unusually solemn eyes, Dreydonna used one floating hand and pulled it swiftly across her mouth, the universal sign of zipped lips. She then fell quiet and eyed Adriel. She wondered if he was telling the truth; she had never seen a murder before. She had attacked people and even done things that could seriously injure them, but there had never been a fatality yet.

A slight smirk quirked her jagged mouth and she tightened her grip on the spear. She was a pokemon and human laws didn't bother her. Still, murder... It wasn't a prank or a joke. But she couldn't tell anyone, even if she wanted to. While some ghost pokemon knew english, Dreydonna did not. She turned semi-invisible and waited for Adriel to continue on his way.
