Meh. There are things I think could be improved upon. And I have issues with a few things, but it's not as bad as all the sanctimonious Transfans are saying it is. I own it, and I watch it every once in a while. It's a fun movie.

It is a hell of a popcorn flick, which is more than enough for me. If anyone was expecting it to be some groundbreaking sci-fi story like Blade Runner or Dark City, they were seriously deluding themselves.

I enjoyed the live action flick. I still think the 86 Animated movie is the highpoint of the Transformers various incarnations but after a few years of shows I disliked like Robots in Disquise and The Unicron Trilogy)
I was glad the movie turned out to be something I found enjoyable.
Of course I'm still nervous about the sequel as it could improve on the things the film got right or it could instead focus on areas where I felt the first film was lacking.

YOU GAWT THE TOUCH...YOU GOT THE POWARRRRGHHH!! *song obscured in movie by 30 minutes of explosion* me: *FROWN* I loved the '86 movie. I need to watch it again, actually. I mean, Bay did an alright job, but I like TF '86 because it was really neat and different for its time. That and "The Touch" Gotta have that song. -Edit- Actually, Bay's movie at the very beginning was a little slow going plot-wise because of all the iraq-soldiers-in-war thing...Is it just me or is it true?
