~The way it will work~
There are four ruling nations, and every nation has its own nobility. All the ranks are from most powerful to least. The King and/or Queen are selected from one of the elements to rule, usually being prince or princess. Upon becoming the King or Queen they will gain all the powers of the elements as they take charge of the "Union" of the nations. If any of the nations were to pull out of the Union, then the King and/or Queen would lose control over that element unless that is where they came from.
In the event the throne being empty, it must be filled by a prince.
If there are no prince's, then a princess, then a Duke, Duchess, and so on.
You can be born into a title, inherit one, or have one bestowed upon you.

Prince
a nonreigning male member of a royal family
Princess
a nonreigning female member of a royal family
Duke
the male ruler of a duchy; the sovereign of a small state. a British nobleman holding the highest hereditary title outside the royal family, ranking immediately below a prince and above a marquis; a member of the highest rank of the British peerage.
Duchess
a woman who holds in her own right the sovereignty or titles of a duchy. A woman who is either the wife or widow of a Duke
Baron
a member of the lowest grade of nobility, a feudal vassal holding his lands under a direct grant from the king.
Baroness
the wife of a baron, a woman holding a baronial title in her own right.
Count
A count is a nobleman. Nobility is a government-privileged title which may be either hereditary (see hereditary titles) or for a lifetime
Countess
the wife or widow of a count in the nobility of Continental Europe or of an earl in the British peerage, or a woman having the rank of a count or earl in her own right
Lord
a person who has authority, control, or power over others; a master, chief, or ruler.
Lady
the proper title of any woman whose husband is higher in rank than baronet or knight, or who is the daughter of a nobleman not lower than an earl (although the title is given by courtesy also to the wives of baronets and knights).
Sir
English honorific used in several modern contexts and a title of the nobility. An honorific is a word or expression that conveys esteem or respect and is used in addressing or referring to a person. It was once used (without the person's name) as a courtesy title among equals, but in common usage it is now usually reserved for one of superior rank or status, such as an educator or commanding officer
Madam
Title for a woman. Equivalant to a Sir.
