The closely-knit trees of the forest do not allow for easy travel unless one is well-accustomed to the intricately woven network of trunks and branches. As such, many find it easier to travel upon a forgotten man-made path that has since overgrown with brush and weeds but is still much easier to navigate than the forest.
Those travelling upon this path quickly alert the Risen Ashes pack of their presense via the rustling of grasses and snapping of twigs.
