The dark interwoven strands of the forest abruptly give way to a large clearing in which the ground is soft enough to dig and is caked with moss. It is here, surrounded by a protective wall of trees, that the Risen Ashes pack digs their dens and calls home.
From this vantagepoint, they are not only able to hear an intruder's approach well-before he arrives, but they are also able to track the movement of various prey as their calls fragment off of the trees and echo directly to them.
