Loa bobbed along what she was pretty sure was an old forgotten forest path. It was part of the forest she hadn't been to before, it was farther from the other dead she had come to take for granted as existing in the same place as she did. Why she was wandering was a question she couldn't really answer herself, she hadn't wanted to talk to anyone about the strange living woman. Considering the living and the draw of them she had taken to the forest where it was quiet and where the others like herself would not bother her.
The path abruptly ended then, leaving her at a stream. Pausing the little Ghostling considered where she should go back she knew what was there but ahead...was a mystery. After only of hesitation she made her way along the river going toward what she believed was possible a darker part of the forest. As she continued along the moonlight didn't break through the treetops and then ahead she could see that the moonlight was lighting an area in it's silvery shine. Curiously Loa moved into a small forest glade, to the outside was almost a perfect circle of oak trees and to her there was a feeling of power in the place.
Dashing over some fallen leaves she held her lantern high as she made a round of the glade.

The whispers of the forest spoke to her in the night, and Kukiko followed where they lead. Her silent empty home was uninteresting to her, and so she'd been outside when the call of the leaves had come to her. They whispered of new experiences, and others who wandered through the trees on their own.
Not wanting to be alone she'd followed the path spoken of, looking for new things to see and do, though she was still unsure of herself. Her shyness struck at odd times, but mayhap she could hide behind a tree and talk, if she actually encountered another. The feathers of her wings rustled behind her as she moved, weaving this way and that around and under branches, searching for the unknown. She had to be careful not to get a wing caught, or she'd be stuck for a while. She'd delt with that before, and didn't like the experience at all. Her eyes blinked slowly, swinging back and forth to catch the sight of new plants, and flowers that thrived during the night hours. She plucked a blossom, and tucked it behind her ear haphazardly, though it'd probably fall off soon enough if she didn't think about it. Flowers were like that...

Loa had come to a pause near a small patch of mushrooms growing at the base of one of the large oaks that acted as guardian of this place. Smiling faintly she swirled a bit of power over the cluster causing the fungi to shake on their stalks, the wibbling motion they made brought a small giggle from the Ghostling.
She didn't hear another approaching from the side of the glade it was rather the shift of wind and the feeling of not being quite alone anymore that put Loa on guard. Tucking her lantern close she moved close to the ground as if crouching. Considering the lantern it was a rather humorous display as she snuck closer toward the direction she was sure someone else was coming from. Using an oak of the glade to give her cover Loa peered around the edge seeing in the distance someone arriving, quickly she covered the light from her lantern so as to not alert them.
Undecided she sat a moment, but she was certain they were not one of the living. The feel and stink of the living that she had grown use to living close to the manor didn't seem to follow them. Moving around she made her way around the large tree trunk circling around and waiting for whoever it was to wander past. In the dark the impression of feathers on wings was the first thing she noticed; without giving it another though she grinned to herself and jumped out from behind the tree at the same time allowing her lantern to shed it's soft light over the area as she did; at the last moment the little wisp gave a small shout. Blinking several times as she looked over the one that had been coming upon the path, it appeared to be a charm dragon of some sort.

Kukiko gave a low squeek and ducked behind a rather large oak, slowly moving her head around it to take a look at whom had startled her. In front of her tree stood a small whisp of a Ghostling, it's lantern glowing brightly in the dark of the forest. She wimpered softly then in a very quiet voice said, "You startled me, don't you agree?" Kukiko shifted, her wings shaking themselves out behind her before unfolding all the way. "Why'd you do that?"
She peeks around the oak a bit more, her pale hand gripping tightly to the bark like a security blanket from long agos and far aways. It felt rough and dug into her palm, giving birth to memories of before she'd been a Ghostling. "What are you doing in the forest near my home? This is my area." She seems to grow a bit bolder as she speaks. "Are you lost from your own territory? Can I lead you back, if you are?" This offer is given half to protect her own land, and half to help the small Ghostling. She wouldn't want the poor dear to get stuck where she can't hide when it's light out and the humans come.
Thinking of the humans made Kukiko sad, for her home was being sold, and a... real-ator... was supposed to come by in the next day or so to appraise her home. She didn't want anything to happen to the place she'd been living at for a while, to her territory.. She got upset every time she though of all things she'd been told of having humans come to check out homes, then move in and remodel them, or knock them down and start anew...

Loa giggled happily seeing Kukiko's reaction, it was a strange sound like the laughter of a child mixed with the clattering of long forgotten bones.
"I did startle you!" Loa chuckled again, spinning slightly in the air before settling to watch the other Ghostling, "the look on your face was reason enough." A slight bob in the air a bit like nodding was Loa's answer as if it made perfect sense at least to herself. After all what more meaning then the look of shock or surprise you got was needed for frightening another.
"Territory?!" The colorful little wisp let out another amused sound, "why would you want that? Boring really, same place all the time." Truthfully Loa wasn't worried about the Charm Dragon's reaction from what she had seen of others of the feathered sorts she was fairly safe to play and talk. Some of the ghostlings she knew were frightening but not this one; not yet.
"And I'm not lost, I know where to find the others. Do you know them? We live together underground and sometimes above." She had a feeling Kukiko was a lonely sort or maybe she was just really really skittish despite her pretty wings and talk of territory.
