When people go out of town I house sit. I was supposed to stay over someone's house on Friday and Saturday- But an JROTC camping trip was rescheduled for Friday- so I can only stay over Saturday and maybe get like $20 or $30 dollars.
I'd get me a simple pair of goggles. When I get the money I will probably ask you all what pair looks more steampunkish. <<

Not a problem at all.
I have a pair of plain black rubber ones that look like old sauldering goggles. They're pretty.
There is an incredibl pair of handcrafted ones I want off the web. T__T
if I had the proper tools and metal I would have made my own a long time ago, but alas, the lack of sheet metal and dremel and sauldering iron is something of a problem...
all I have is a needel and thread and a hot clue gun.

XDDD Same with me- though I tried making a base by cutting up a soda can. Sadly I failed but the rims would be nice starters.
I'm probably going to end up spending $20-30 on Ebay for a pair of goggles....

Amazon has some nice welding goggles for like 10$, buy some brass spray paint and voila! a nice base for a pair of goggles.

Amazon has some nice welding goggles for like 10$, buy some brass spray paint and voila! a nice base for a pair of goggles.

I have parrots, Paint fumes are toxic. I'm also a junior in high school so most of my time is taken up during the day- and I can't paint at dark >.<

Plus I would end up screwing up some how. I tried to make a going away poster with paint- I got it all over my favorite pair of jeans- then I got mad- mixed colors and... yea... The poster should have been chucked out there.

you never use spray paint inside anyways.
cover up the areas you don't want brass colored, stick em outside on a bunch of newspaper and spray away.
It's the easiest thing in the book. razz

Well, I found some batteries for my real Camera, So here are better pictures with my new goggles.

Question of goggles: On the head or hanging from the neck?

The goggles look better on the head, and I find it amusing that I use to have goggles like that but lost them years ago, long story really.

I think the pine strip pants look better, when wearing the skirt it looks like your pulling of a pirate look, which I'm not sure if that's what you want or not, but the pants look more classy.

As for the outfit you should be fine. I think different shoes would go better with the socks, like boots or something, but I don't know if you would have anything along the lines. You work well with what you got, and that counts. 3nodding

Well I am a fan of the Airship pirates~
I'm an Abney park fan and I'm going to see them live so I was stuck between Airship Pirates or a more... normal look. I am stuck on it now more then ever. I may wear the pinstripes to the steampunk themed ball since I don't own dresses.... then the brown skirt to the concert the next night... It'd work!
I'm going to look around in thrift stores for accessories.

Yea, The goggles on the head looks better and feels more comfy- Now I just have to get a pin to make them a little tighter.

I..cant remember what exactly I payed for mine, as I made them...but..they are kind of tunnel-vision like ^^;
