OK all you English-speaking bastards. Here I have a question to you:
Can I use the term personal reliance as a synonym of independence (of a person)?

use the term "self-reliance," not personal reliance. technically they mean the same thing, but self-reliance is the commonly accepted phrase, and personal reliance just sounds kinda strange

There's also "autonomous," though the usage of that is a little hazy.

yeah i was talking on AIM with her and what she's looking for is a series of two words that begin with P and R respectively, but mean the same thing as independent. she needs them for an acronym she has in mind. i cant really think of anything to help her, though

And it includes self-Reliance for R now.
