Well as far as health goes, I'd have to say that ninjas were pretty well off over pirates, first beacuse ninjas probably got paid as much as-if not more- then pirates (assasinations weren't cheap you know), they could afford to get their teeth and diseases taken care of.
Now pirates can afford this too, but they were out at sea for long periods of time and had limited space for food, medical supplies (wenches razz ) etc.
On a side note ninja-pirate-robots own both sides of this debate and will eventually rule the earth ninja pirate burning_eyes
