A portion of the territory that runs beside the river. Young pups prefer this location of over the other because it's closer to the den site and the water is more shallow than the other locations of the river. There is a small island overgrown with herbs that are often used to help with illness in this location. It's too far for pups to meddle in and known to the older wolves as an area to keep clear of to avoid running the risk of harming the precious plants.

It had been a while since she came to these lands..her coat and body was healthy once more. Well, as best as it could be. She still seemed slightly broken, but healing..slowly. Her dual colored eyes stared down into the shallows, all four paws pressed into the soft mud of the banks. Sighing gently, she leaned down to lap at the water silently, ears folding back against her head.
Wow, it was so different here..compared to her former home. The pack was up and about, and they didn't...leave randomly. She shook her head, brushing her nose across the cool surface of the water. Tossing her head up, and shaking off, little droplets glittered off of her form...then fur settled back into place. Frowning, she looked around, and headed out of the water, towards a tree to lay under.

Feanaro had no reason to leave. His magnificant kin were out among the freelands, they would bring more in. It was best to remain here, let them think him a legend, a horror tale, or dead for the less fantastic of mind. His crows kept him more informed than those simpletons could imagine... not to mention the seer from his daughter's pack. The council would be formed, the packs would combine under them. It was just a matter of time.
The crow balanced himself on Feanaro's scarred shoulder, giving him the report of the freelands. The red wolf's pack had disbanded, the slave pack had lost their alphaess, and Feanaro's daughter and former mate were no where to be seen.
"This is unfortunate." He said quietly, his heart aching for his little girl more than his mate really... Khalaria wasn't a visionary, she was far too docile.
The alpha paused, turning his head calmly towards a flash of white... Selia, his new queen. The thought brought a smile to his maw, for the moment, easing the sting of loss.

Tail flicked behind her, and she fell over lazily to her side, a huff of air escaping her ebony lips. Stretching her back legs out momentarily, she then curled them closer to her..front legs flailed out before her..while her back arched strangely--but she looked comfortable, at least.
She scent the crows..strange little buggers, but they seemed useful..companions, always a good thing to have. Maw parted momentarily, before clamping shut at the scent of Feanaro. She shifted, and rolled onto her belly, curling her feet beneath her chest. Craning her neck, she looked in his direction, trying to view him with her good eye.

For the moment, the wolf watched her from where he stood, his fur seemed to have a shine to it that Selia hadn't seen since he was a pup, he was healthy, put on some good muscle, though he was growing older. His muzzle was far from growing grey but it had grown thicker and more broad with age. More dangerous.
He gave a soft wuff, walking his way over to her as Suuru clapped up into the air, finding himself a perch to preen on.

She returned the noise, a bit louder, and brought herself to sit up. Setting herself nicely, she smiled at him, forgetting her own aches and pains of the past. Childhood friends reunited--it was nice...they could keep their promise.
She stood, and moved towards him, as well, nipping the tip of his nose playfully--boldly, since most wouldn't do that to an alpha.

The masked alpha smiled slightly as she nipped at the tip of his nose, bringing his own large head down to rest along her neck as he stepped closer to nuzzle himself closer to her, "You seem to have come around... I do hope this place suits your fancy... there is enough game and water for us all..."

Snickering a bit, she allowed her tail to flick from side to side slowly, resting her head against his own scarred neck and shoulder. Closing her eyes, she sighed against his fur..feeling the silken fur brush over her muzzle.
"It's beautiful," she murmured gently, and smiled, "You found a haven. Truly."

"Yes...", He said proudly, looking over the valley over Selia's back, "Soon... all others will know a haven... no more wars, no more fighting, no more blood of the young on the winter snow and loaners like myself to plegue the lowlands... our children will know a greater age for the wolf."

Nuzzling him a bit more, comforted by the sound of his heartbeat, she blinked her eyes open, and glanced to him through her peripheral vision. Children? Maybe she had taken that the wrong way. If she could have, she probably would have blushed right then.
Yeah, she was probably taking it the wrong way. They weren't really mates yet--well, technically not. They were still healing, there to comfort one another. Or, well, she assumed. She had to lean up further to nuzzle into his neck, front paws coming off the ground slightly, due to their differences in height.

"Kendrick and Barinthus are magnificant creatures... they've already worked in the lowlands.. bringing to us new members..." He swelled visably in pride. A strange wolf by the name of Ghadir and a tailess wolftress... Vesi both of them strange in their own right but assets to the pack none the less... a report from Horus, Kendrick's personal crow, indicated that another wolf was on his way... a green wolf with a deep past supposidly. "We have only the best. A stronger pack than any. Not even Devvyl's former pack will match ours in power, Selia... and with you by my side there is little we can't accomplish.. We know the lowlands, we know all other packs, their workings, their members, their location."

She removed her head from his shoulder, and shifted to stand beside him, looking over whatever was within sight. She smiled, and rested her shoulder to his, as best as she could, at least, since her size, compared to his, was, well...tiny.
She nudged his neck with her muzzle, and snuffled into his fur, blinking at him curiously, "I agree," she smiled, "But..isn't it best to forget..revenge..for a little while..? And..silencing our enemies? It's peaceful here right now..so..till that day.." She trailed off, hoping she had gotten her point across.

"I am beyond such a petty feeling such as revenge, Selia... I want to see a place like this for all wolves... for my children and their children to come." He sighed, leaning his head over to rest on hers, "No wolf should have to live thorugh what we did...." He trailed off. He remembered everything... remembered as a pup saving Elphaba, her attack to him which gained him some of the smaller scars on his side, his constant quarrel with Devvyl, even saving the damnable red beast from a humliating brush with a 'sharp rat'.... saving Selia so many times. The river, the humans, the waterfall... even the bear.
