Past - Chapter 1

{Night}

A light thunder storm accompanied the dead night. There was no one outside, the streets were completely empty of people. The only light in the city aside from the poorly dim street lights were the random bolts of lightning that filled the sky. Foot steps echoed against the damp ground as a shadowed figure walked calmly down the street. A scream filled the night sky as the figure stopped. The screamed echoed into the night again, as the figure continued his walk forward, before suddenly going into a full sprint.

The figure didn't have to run far, as a woman ran out into the middle of the street and collapsed. The figure ran up to the woman and dropped to one knee next to her.

"Are you ok?" The figure asked.

"T-t-the yonma! They attacked my family." The woman replied, followed with a scream as a yonma let out a yell.

"Ok. Go hide somewhere and I'll find your family."

Just as the figure stood up and turned to go towards where the woman ran from, the woman shoved her hand through the figure's leg. The figure dropped to his legs in front of the woman, letting out a quiet grunt before becoming completely quiet.

"Hee hee. We have been watching you for a while, and you looked delicious. Please don't hate us for taking your life."

Just as the female yonma was about to take the figure's life, she stopped and let out a muffled gasp. She looked down slowly, seeing a sword coming from the figure which stabbed her in the chest. With a quick motion, the figure pulled the sword away from the yonmas chest, stood up, and sliced open her chest. Holding his pose, he watched the yonma stumble a bit, holding it's wounds before charging the figure with it's mouth open in a desperation move. The figure raised his sword up to the air, letting the blade glow a soft blue before bringing the sword down as hard and quickly as he could, cutting the yonma in half.

The figure stood still as he stood between the two halves. Not long after the death of their comrade, the other yonmas that were hunting him appeared on the roof of the building next to him. The three yonmas jumped together, staying a tight group as they fell together toward the figure. The figure pulled away the hood of his coat, revealing his face from the shadows of the hood, as he raised his sword towards the group of yonmas that were above him. The blade of his sword once again started glowing, concentrating at the tip as the energy grew more intense. Just before the three yonmas were upon him, the young figure uttered only three words.

"Lunar... Beam... Blast."

A brilliant light erupted from the sword, incinerating the yonmas in an instant. As the pieces of ash fell to the ground, the figure continued to hold his pose as a large piece of one of the yonmas landed near him. He slowly turned his head towards the dying yonma, watching it hiss at him and cry out. As the yonma was almost dead, it relaxed and spoke to the young figure.

"Wh-Wh-who ... ah-ah-are ... you..." Was all the yonma said before dying.

The figure turned and walked away, speaking softly as though he were talking to himself. "I don't have a name. But those close to me call me..."

"...Lone."

{The Bar - Eternity}

A blond haired man sat back in his chair, watching everyone that was chatting and drinking, and just having a good time. He looked over to the young woman with blue hair, who was busy cleaning the bar. He stood up, walking over to the counter and asked her, "Hey Kasumi. We still have any more Sake?"

Kasumi looked away from her cleaning to the man, giving him a small nod and replying, "Of course. I'll get you some Adonis." Kasumi turned around, opening the cabinet to take a bottle of Sake out. When she turned back around, Adonis held his hand open and gave her a soft smile. Kasumi only smiled back as she closed her eyes, pushing her glasses back to her face, as she handed him the bottle.

Just as Adonis turned around, Sora walked through the back door, walking right over to him. "Whats wrong?" Sora looked to everyone that was still in the room before leaning closer to Adonis and explaining to him. "Lone's back. He said he finished off the youma, but he's got a bad injury." Adonis nodded and said, "I see." He turned to Kasumi and said to her, "Go patch Lone up, then join me back out here."

"Right Boss." She wipe her hands on a cloth as she headed towards the back room.When she reached the room, Hikari was already in the room, getting the tools ready to help Kasumi patch up Lone's injuries. "Good thing you got this while you were in your Dark form, or this would be a lot worse."
