well... the animated band aren't REAL people. I mean, real people play the music (2D's singing voice is Damon Albarn from Blur) but the band members aren't REAL PEOPLE. They're not really based on real people either... just stereotypical rock band peeps (Murdoc being the Keith Richardson-esque sexaholic, 2d being the typical pretty boy singer, etc)

Damon Alban and Jamie hewit are the soul creators of Gorillaz they were first in the band Blurr.

2D- Damon Albarn
Murdoc-Jamie Hewett
Noodle-Tina Weymouth
Russel-Del...something er other...Homosapian

i dont remember where i got this info but i remember checking it out when their Feel Good Inc video came out cos i wanted to see if the band was the same. i remembered this off the top of my head and i'm not sure if the spelling if correct...but deal...those are the real Gorillaz...

Damon is 38, as is Jamie. They were both born in th'year of th'monkey. yep. The other dude is Danger Mouse.

Lady Leonardo is like on a death quest to prove Jamie's not Muds. Scary, fo sho.
Jamie does not make a musical contribution to Gorillaz. But th'way Damon an Jamie interact wif each other reminds me somewhat of 2D an Muds.

I fought it was Del Tha Funkee Homosapian...
