Setting is medevil, a time when Dragons were more or less in hiding because of dragon slayers. These dragons are capable of a great many magical talents. The most prominent talent being their ability to shift into human form to better hide among the people hunting them. There are a few clans of dragons felt the try to stay in contact with each other but it's dangerous for them to gather in groups, it generally attracts attention.
Our story begins with one such dragon, a female, who's been captured. She's in dire need of help as the hunter prehaps to either sell her off or kill her, he can't decide which would be the best. Wounded and all but starving Cody is desperately trying to hold on to life.
