a new distraction and diversion is here that gives you 5k slayer exp first time then 500exp and 1k+ exp in crafting fm and two other skills. A new quest that lets you summon pheonixs and have two pets. with a fm fletching and crafting req above 50. Plus a pretty sweet banner. now they need to do is release the dam thing. (article is posted on kb yet no update as of this post)

Well, that was easy...
Pfft, stop complaining. -.-;
This quest got me two levels worth of Firemaking xp.
I love his special name. XD
Reminds me of the a**-Blasters from Tremors. God, I love that movie. <3
And the scroll, you target a pile of ashes and he seems to teleport there....I think it heals your familiar. It might have reset the time for him staying with me, I didnt look, or think of looking at it. I just got that idea as I was making this post. But anyways, unless it resets the time, I think the Scroll is pretty useless.
The Phoenix familiar requires 72 Summoning to make Pouches, but you don't need the level to do the quest. It uses Magic in combat, and being a level 72 Familiar, I imagine it might be a pretty decent fighter. Im glad he is a higher leveled familiar, so this isnt another low level update most people don't care about. And besides, the Phoenix looks pretty cool. Only thing is, Im not going to use familiars in combat until Jagex fixes their lame AI. rofl
The Quest allows you to 'challenge' the Phoenix weekly so you can get some of it's feathers as well as Slayer xp. I imagine this would be good to slowly level summoning, if you get 5 feathers like in the quest each time you challenge him. If you make 5 pouches per week doing this, you could slowly train Summoning without spending much at a time, if you don't mind forking over the cost for Shards.

Kail of the Shadow Flames Airazor Kail, It's once a day, not once a week. Very whoops. :0 Think about how much more exp/cash you would make from it now. Since those feathers are worth about 3k each I think. xD
