Free?! Are you off your nut?!
For all intents and purposes, yes. But I believe that every roleplayer should get their chance to play, without having to worry about entrance fees or high custom prices. They are free, and they will be given out as prizes for flatsales, contests, or just because. So if you aren't successful in a flatsale, put up a quest in the guild! If Switch likes it, she'll probably give it to you anyway. Of course, everything is subject to Switch's workload.
So if they're free, I can get one any time that I want, right?
Wrong. It has to be cleared with Switch. Chances are she will only give one to you through a flatsale or a contest, but she may also give one to you if she likes your concept.
Do I have to RP?
Yes. The only stipulation to the whole "free" thing is that you have to RP. If you don't RP, your kid won't grow. After six months they are put on MIA status, but not rehomed. You get it for free, you roleplay it. Thats the deal.
How many can I own?
As many as you want. Just know you can only win one per flatsale and you should know your limits to what you can take care of.
Are we allowed to co-own pets?
Yes, but you and the other person who will be roleplaying the child will have to agree on key things. I reserve the right to take away joint custody if I feel that it is not working out.
When can my Curio Grow?
Whenever you're ready...and have met the roleplay requirements!
Do they have to start out as toddlers?
Well, no. The Flatsales from now on will have a space for what stage you'd like to start them out on. Of course, I encourage starting out as a toddler! But if you want your Curio to be a kid directly after their item stage, thats fine. I understand that Toddlers can be difficult to play!
Does the above apply to babies from breeding?
Nope! If someone gets a Curio through breeding, then it starts off as a baby and goes through the life stages normally.
You said the shop is supposed to be PG-13. But what if I want a sex toy as my starting item?
First off, I wanted the shop to be PG-13. However, after The Great d***o Fiasco of 2009 in the flatsale thread (this will be documented, as it was epic), I will be allowing sex toys as the starting item. However their item stage will not be detailed as those were the conditions of the agreement. Lovehates to Slanndalous and Nikiana for starting off The Great d***o Fiasco.
