I will forget names but remember faces. I will have done that to people that I spend hours talking to and then I meet them a few weeks later and I forget or change their name.

I forget names unless I'm able to relate them to something and ages. I thought my mom was 35 until a couple of years ago when it finally dawned on me that she would have been 10 or so when I was born if she was really that young.

I am good at remembering faces the most. Once hear the names a few times it'll click for me. honestly im more likely to remember someone by what was going on around them or something they did.

NAMES. Now, always, and forever. Even of people I talk to everyday. Even of people I've known for awhile. Gets to be pretty awkward sometimes...

Eye color. This happens to me a lot. Doesn't matter who it is, even my own sister. I can talk to her for 30 minutes, face to face, then if she leaves and some one asks me what color her eyes are, I struggle to remember if they are blue or green. For the record they are green....uh...at least I'm pretty sure..

I struggle with eye color too. I'm too shy to look most people in the eyes. ^//^;

Eye color is definitely something I tend to forget unless they are particularly striking. Oddly, I do tend to remember eye shape and other factors about the eyes, just not the color.
Reading the question differently, I tend to forget that others aren't in on my internal train of thought. I frequently start a sentence mid-thought, leaving the people around me confused.
Basically, I am a space-case.

I've done that too although usually I just forget that not everyone can follow my train of thought as it jumps mid sentence from one thought to another completely unrelated thought...or at least that's how it seems to others, I've been told. It makes perfect sense to me. ^^;

For me, it all depends on the person when it comes to remembering their names, eye color, birthdays, favorite colors and what not. The closer I am to the person, the more I remember about them.
Though, I don't completely forget or tune out the details of a person that I'm not very close to. Birthdates are often switched around or mis-memorized. I'm not too bad at memorizing names. Perhaps because I address them by name quite a few times when first meeting them.
