I get this a lot lately from new members:
I joined the guild, but it says I am not authorized to view the forums.
Is this a joke?
They get an error message that they aren't authorized to view the forums O.o
And they think it me or the guild. But I have no clue what is causing it.
Anyone else out there with this problem?

I have this problem too.
I think it take about 10 minutes to an hour before they can enter.

Check your forums and make sure that they aren't set to crew only. It probably is some sort of glitch, but it's always best to check to be sure.

Well I don't need to check that, cause the regulars can all see it fine.
And as it looks now it takes about an hour to allow people in.
Just enough to make people leave cause they think I am screwing around with them sweatdrop

If it is a major issue, you might try sending out a PM whenever someone joins, welcoming them and letting them know about the glitch. I had to start doing it when they had the whole acceptance letter glitch, that was telling everyone they were declined.

There's always been a bit of a 'lag' on the guilds - it used to just be on moving threads, but now on guild gold and others too - perhaps this is the new lag? >.>

I'm using an alt account in a role-playing guild that I'm a crew member of, and every time I go to reply on that account, it says I don't have permission to reply to that topic... but this account can reply just fine. I just checked to see if it was set to crew and it wasn't. I hope this can be solved soon. =/

Ailinea - is it possible that the creator of the threads you were replying to had your alt account blocked? If the creator of a thread blocks you, you can't reply in any of their threads. But I've seen this once before in the original Captain's Guild, and it fixed itself after about a week or two, I think.

Nah, I started the thread, and it's my alt account, I certainly don't have my own account blocked. xD
But I'll cross my fingers and hopes it fixes itself.
However, this account was once banned from the guild a long time ago when the captain cleaned out the guild. I re-invited him back (I'm co-captain), and it lists him as a member and everything, so he should be able to post. Unless there's just some feature about unbanning people from the guild that I'm missing.
