Amanzi was out wandering again. Taku had been grounded. Again. So now she didn't really have anything to do. She didn't feel like playing with any of her other siblings (her twin was always more fun to be around than the others, anyway) so she decided to go exploring by herself, and then when she got back home, she'd boast to her brother about her great adventures she had while he was stuck in the den. Zi smirked and giggled."Stupid Taku. I told him not to show mom the bird, but did he listen to me? Nooo, of course he didn't."She talked and muttered to herself for a good amount of walking distance, coming to the top of a small hill. She looked down it and decided to have some little fun. It had been a while since Zi had gotten the chance to do something so thrilling and exhilarating. It made her blood pump faster and her eyes widen.
She threw herself down the hill.
"WEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

He didn’t like to get into trouble.
Sighing softly, he moved over the terrain slowly, looking around and taking in the sights. Why couldn’t he do this with his family from time to time? Just look around and really enjoy the wonderful place they call home? Was that such a crime? Did everything have to have some dangerous aspect to it?
He didn’t think so.
His eyes had been turned from the hill as he began walking by it, so he had no idea someone, at that exact moment, had decided to try rolling down it. Not until he heard her cheer, head snapping instantly in her direction. But it was too late to run. Before he knew it he had been toppled over by something brown and green, the young male letting out a yelp of surprise.

Since she was rolling down the hill so fast, she had no time and no way to see someone that could very well be in her way. So she had no clue that she was about to ram into another lion.
Amanzi hit him and pretty much knocked him off his feet. She heard him yelp, felt him roll over on top of her, slowing her down, and she shot her feet out to skid to a better stop. The young lioness whipped her head around and trotted slowly over to him (she was pretty dizzy from rolling down the hill, of course) with a worried look on her face.
"Are you alright? I'm so sorry, I didn't think anyone would be walking by and didn't see you pass by."
She tried to inspect him for injuries without seeming too weird in doing so, but he looked alright to her. At least, from what she could see on his side. No cuts or bad bruises. Hopefully.
"I'm so sorry!"

Shangwe was, understandably, a little bit dazed after being rammed into and knocked over by a rolling cub who came seemingly out of no where. He was on his back, his paws brought up towards his chest as he held his eyes tightly shut in case another attack was to come. At first he thought someone was trying to kill him- they had managed to knock the wind out of him with their first shot.
But then he heard someone talking to him. Slowly, carefully, he eased one eye open, peeking through his eyelids at the lioness hovering nearby. She didn’t sound like she wanted to rip him to shreds. Actually, she sounded a little worried. Rolling onto his side, he raised his head, looking up at the girl. A girl? He got knocked over by a girl?
None of his brothers could know about this.
“I’m alright,” he told her once what she was saying sank in, “no really! I’m fine. I was just a little stunned, that all. There’s nothing to be sorry about… I should have been watching where I was going. But… why were you rolling?”
Seemed to be an appropriate question.

Amanzi gave a small sigh of relief at the male's reassurance that he was fine. She wouldn't have known what to do with herself if otherwise. What if he had broken something? Would he tell her mother? Her brother? She frowned. Taku would always tease her for breaking someone's arm, by simply rolling down a hill.
She couldn't let that happen, so it was good that he was okay.
"I'm glad you're okay. I'm sorry," she added again, just for good measure. Then he posed the question, and she giggled nervously. What a silly question. But at the same time, rolling down a hill for no apparent was just as silly, wasn't it?
"I was rolling down the hill because it's fun. And it's a really good hill to roll down, actually. You wanna try? I promise to not be in the way, or roll with you or anything."

Shangwe tilted his head to one side. Rolling down a hill was fun? He wasn’t sure he could take the cub’s word for it… he’d never really liked rolling down hills much. Of course, he’d also never really ever rolled down a hill before, but that was just a small part in liking something. Actually doing it, anyway. It just seemed like such a hassle. Getting all dizzy for no good reason.
What if you threw up? Would it be as much fun then? She sounded like his sister- always doing strange things for the prospect of ‘fun’.
“Well… I guess…” he heard himself say. Wait. No. He didn’t WANT To try rolling down a hill. What was he doing? “I mean, if you think it’s fun and all, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to give it a shot!”
With that, and no real understanding why, he started to move up the hill she had rolled down before, moving slow so she’d be able to keep up with him if she wanted to. “You can go first,” he said lightly, “show me how.”

Amanzi grinned and gave a little giggle. It seemed like he was up for trying anything new, too! That worked out just fine.
"Okay!" she replied, scampering up the side of the hill to catch up to him, and then walked a little bit faster to reach the top. Once he caught up, she took a stance near the edge and laid down on her stomach, but with her side facing the bottom of the hill. She did this so she would still be facing him while she was about to roll down, to give whatever instructions she deemed necessary information to know.
"So first, you lay down like this. You don't wanna go down head-first; that wouldn't be so good. And then you kinda rock back and forth, almost pushing yourself over, but not quite, and then you let go on the next big swing and you just tumble down. Or, there's the other way, which I like to do. You just throw yourself off."
And that's exactly what she did.

Shangwe frowned.
It didn’t look that hard… but it seemed dangerous to him. What if they ended up rolling into someone? She had turned him into part of the hill, after all. What if something smaller came along? Something that might be hurt by two lions slamming into it.
Oh well. It was his turn.
Watching her roll, he smiled faintly, thinking of the fun rather than the dangers as he positioned himself sideways on the hill just as she had done. Rock back and forth, or just fling yourself off… he didn’t have it in him to just go for it. So he took a few rolls to get his courage up before finally releasing the dirt and rolling down the hill towards the grass at the bottom.
It was a lot more fun than he thought it would be, but he had no idea where he was heading or what he might crash into while in motion.

The cub couldn't see -anything- while she was rolling; why, that was half the fun! But as she approached the bottom and lost most of her momentum, she slowed to a stop and remained where she lay, watching as her new friend hesitantly neared the edge. She was going to yell up encouragement to him but then he was off! And rolling pretty quickly right towards her, actually.
"Eep!" she yipped, and semi-scrambled out of the way as quickly as she could. Semi, because she was still a good bit dizzy and couldn't really see straight or where she was going for the most part. When he finally reached where she was, she laughed.
"See? That wasn't so hard."

The brown lion couldn’t say he wasn’t feeling just a little bit sick when he reached the bottom-how could he not with the whole world spinning around him? He sat up slowly, swaying in small circles as he struggled to get his bearings on which way was up. Though he was now dizzy and more than a little queasy from the effort, he had to admit that she was right: It had been fun.
Maybe something that would be more fun and less sickening the more times he tried it out. For now, though, he was happy with just doing it once.
The world calmed and he was able to look at the little girl again, his smile evidence enough that he had enjoyed himself. “You were right!” he said with a chuckle, “that was a lot more fun than I thought it would be! I can see why you were doing it now… oh! By the way, did I ever ask you what your name is? I’m Shangwe.”

Amanzi beamed easily at her new friend. See? All you had to do was to try something once, and then you would know if it was fun or not. It was really easy. Maybe now that he knew how, this cub could go and tell all his friends and siblings, and even do it as often as she did it.
"Oh, I'm Amanzi!" she replied with a smile. "It's nice to meet you, Shangwe."
