A couple paragraphs as a foreword for my work in progress. Nothing much. If you like it I might continue to post my rough work....

Prologue~
The Garden
Human kind has lived for thousands of years, but for more than half of that time they were not the only intelligent species to walk the Earth. Beautiful beings with extraordinary abilities roamed the world since before the humans ever existed. Now, the humans had only heard of such creatures in the fables and legends read to them as children. Little did they know that these beings weren’t myths, but truths that had been burried under centuries of lies. The humans believed they were the dominate race, all the fables saying how they had driven the beings to extinction. But again these were lies to put the children at ease. For all most a millenium, these beings had disappeared, the humans’ stories the only reminance of their existance. It wasn’t until a meteor desicrated most of the Human race and the world they had developed, that they found out they weren’t alone...
All the beings, in mystical forms the humans had only imagined, rose from their hiding places underground. For centuries these creatures of faerie tales had lived beneath the Earth, shunned and threatened by the Human race. But now, it was their time once more. As they rose, they congregated at the most central point of the remaining world. The few surviving humans made their way to this point as well, dumbfoundedly following the creatures to this very place. It was there that the humans and creatures came upon a most astonishing sight. A beautiful utopia of lush green grass, tall trees, crystal pools and furtile land as far as the eye could see. It was by all means a true Garden of Eden.
