I'm reading The Secret Garden right now. It's part of my quest to read 50 books in a year. It's like, a book a week. So if anyone has anything they think I'll like, just say the title! But nothing with a lot of smex. I don't need that, thanks.

I'll never forgive Stephanie Meyer for warping the traditional vampire lore to the point where most people don't even know what it used to be. Never.

Twilight is one of those series that I don't want to admit that I read and liked. XD Mary Sue FTW!
Right now, I'm mostly reading educational texts on Japanese language, web programming, and cooking. Also, old copies of National Geographic that I didn't get to last year. *shifty look* I am so exciting.
The problem is that I'm really not allowed to by more fun/fiction books until I finish reading An Extremely Bad Idea (Luke Dempsey, birders on road trips... XD), the entire Books of Ember series (Jeanne Duprau), and re-reading The Jungle Books (Rudyard Kipling). And, at the moment, I keep looking at them and going, "Erm... donwanna." I remain convinced that, given long enough, I will pick them up again and finish them. So take that, capricious brain.

I have heard of none of those books. O_o Also, I organized my back copies of National Geographic this weekend and realized that two of the oldest are from the last two months of 2007. *utterly fails!*
In better news, I conquered the Books of Ember this weekend! I enjoyed them very much. They made me want to read them to the children I imagine I will have some day (as well as write terrible fiction about underground people). *crosses four books off her to-read list*
Now, if I can just finish The Jungle Books, I'll be down to one book (+ one million National Geographic's).
