John Hancock is what's called a Dove. Dove's are an immortal race. They were 'built' in male/female pairs. The closer the couple is, the more human-like they are; the farther apart they are, the more of there powers they have.
Several Years after John Hancock was shot and realized what and who he was, he has had several 'encounters' with many women. These 'half-breeds' have some of the Dove's powers, but not all. Some of the powers they all share are quick healing, immortality, and bullet proof skin. Each one has a twin, but their twin died at birth. Most of them don't even know that they have powers. Some of them have lived normal lives. Other have had a tough life. When they turn thirteen their powers start to develop. They also stop again at eight-teen. Some of them have found out that they have powers, others have no idea.
