WWE's current plans for Wrestlemania include the following matches: John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the World Title, Edge vs. Triple H for the WWE Title, and Jeff Hardy vs. Christian. While his signing still hasn't been confirmed, Christian returning to WWE is said to be almost a sure thing and he is being formulated into WWE's storyline plans.
It is quite possible that Christian will make his surprise return at Royal Rumble and cost Hardy the WWE Title. Some in WWE feel that Hardy has the potential to reach John Cena's level of success and shouldn't be a short-term champion.

I knew they wouldn't push Christian to Main Event this soon. I had hope they would though...
Sounds like the 25th WrestleMania will just be the same old s**t we got on the main event for almost 2 years now.

*slams head on desk* I guess it's better that he got it for a short time, rather than not at all.

Self Destructive V2 *slams head on desk* I guess it's better that he got it for a short time, rather than not at all. It proves that the creative team has simply done a "He got it, so shut up now" thing

I was at least expecting Jeff to retain until Wrestlemania.
After all of his work for WWF/E, he at least deserved a Main Event match (or close) at WM.

I expected something like this to happen, you got a guy who failed the drug test twice, one of the times it cost him a match @ Wrestlemania. Two since this is his first championship hold, it doesn't seem right to automatically put him in the main event @ Mania. Three, he seriously looks like a guy who can fail the drug test again unexpectedly. So 1 month with the title isn't that bad. At least he got the title.

I'm just sick and tired about hearing the drug thing again. There are so many others in the company that have probably done way worse things than Jeff. I think he's just targeted because of who he is. [EDIT: What I meant by that is, he's seen as "eccentric". To most people, "eccentric" = "drug user".]
I agree that creative staff probably just gave him the belt to quiet the fans, but I also think that they're not going to be satisfied with one month-long reign.

He's an easy one to pick on with the drugs. Another good example would be the fact some people didn't even received a warning for the policy violation when it's been found that they were on roids. He'll just get that off him once he goes to rehab, even if he doesn't really need to at this point.
