Lord Hec Whatever he does, I hope he doesnt hesitate like last time, even if he returns I dont think he will be succesful confused I just didnt like him this season, I only watched 2 or 3 games tho. It was weird to see him both thrive and struggle so much in one season. Until about the Titans game, the Jets have been playing really well, and so had Favre. But since then, they finished the season horribly.

But since then, they finished the season horribly. It's puzzling to figure out why the Jets suddenly went into the slump they did after beating an undefeated team at the time. It could have been Brett's should injury or it could be the fact that the confidence level was pretty low throughout the team. Or, with the new info leaking into the media, just as with the Cowboys it could have been the lack of unity within the team. There seems to be a lot of pointing fingers, almost all of them pointed directly at Favre.

First was the offensive play-calling. Opposing defenses almost expected what play would come next. They limited Favre's throwing, and didn't want him to throw downfield. They didn't give the ball to Thomas Jones enough, or get Leon Washington involved. There was too much to the tight end, and not much to the receivers. Also, Favre played unlike himself. It's nor surprising to go 1-4 to finish a season, when you throw 2 Touchdowns versus 9 interceptions.

He should just hang it up. I'm tired of hearing Brett this and Brett that. Now I know how other fans feel when all they hear is blah blah Yankees, Red Sox. That and he's the reason why the Pats are sitting at home. mad

You don't have to answer everything I write because I'm not always thinking straight when I start typing. sweatdrop Bostone Sports Fan He should just hang it up. Whether Brett retired or not wouldn't have made a difference in the Packers season. Either way, he wasn't playing for them. Their poor season is their own issue and they cannot make any excuses that even may lean in the direction of Favre.

lol, I think he shouldn't retire, I am a Brett Favre fan, and face it: The Jets have performed significantly better with Brett, in comparison to Chad Pennington, whose record with the Jets was 4 and 12. Chad Pennington led the Dolphins to the playoffs this season, so imagine what Brett Favre can do with other teams.

The Jets definitely improved their season from last year, and made a huge turnaround.
