I bought the fallen wish back when it first came out for 127k. I always keep an eye on price and I see it’s going up. Of course I want as much profit as I can get for this item and I know better then to sell the day of or the first week or so when it is done evolving.(prices always seem to drop then)
So how do I know when to sell the item for the best profit?

Of course I want as much profit as I can get for this item and I know better then to sell the day of or the first week or so when it is done evolving.(prices always seem to drop then) So how do I know when to sell the item for the best profit? The highest prices seem to be right around the second to last evolution. All you have to do is use your clairvoyance to predict which one this will be and you'll be making maximum profit biggrin . Seriously, it's all speculation and risk, and you just can't tell when an item is peaking, or if it will ever peak again. Right now prices are sky high across the board as they always are this time of year. There are more players because of all the colleges on break, which means more people have time to make and spend gold. So I wouldn't attribute the high price of the Fallen Wish just to how nice it is, but also the time of year, and take that into account.

Ahh but my clairvoyance is outta whack.
I went to tektek and it appears the other 9.99 items had 11 evolutions.
I didnt think about what time of year it was. Thank you!

I had a couple of items I bought slightly before the prices crashed this fall, and instead of worrying about loss, I decided to bet that prices would rise again dramatically in December.
They did. I made so much more than I'd ever planned on the items. Sometimes patience pays off smile

Check out the 5th gen. There is two different options. One is called "star junk" and its a star where the avy's genitalia would be. The other it called "porn stars" and its 2 stars covering up where the nipples would be.
When it was first released there was a thread in the GCD glorifying it.
I'm sorry, but that's not the kind of thing I want to deal in.

I do like many of the other poses the item has, like this latest halo. But yeah, oversexualizing these avatars just doesn't look right. But it seems to be popular with many of the younger set.

I like the other Fallen Wish poses too. And that makes me even madder that they put the porn stars in there.

From past experience, I would say that the fallen wish will probably peak just before its final evolution, but that would also require predicting when its final evolution would be. The second option would be to wait quite a long while after it's fully evolved, because all the older higher priced EI's I've noticed have increased in price quite a bit.
Though a lot of EI's seem to have 11 evolutions, it's already been proven with Alruna's Rose that more popular ones are able to get a few more thanks to fans. I'm pretty sure the Fallen Wish will see that fate. =)

How often do these item evolve? And do you have to wear them for them to evolve?

Each item has a schedual. It will vary accasionally. Special holiday ei's evolve every week. Some evolve every 2, 3, 4, weeks.
Every friday is evo day. Usually they release a new ei on Wednesdays or Thursdays.

I guess dealing with EI must be risky. The best is to deal with cash shop items. Exemple. Fortune Eggs. The lowest price: 28k. I bought 68 of them for 40k and I cashed 167 of them. I would never again spend one more cent on Gaia, but I must admit that for 175 dollars and for just 3.6M gold, I earned a total of 11.7M gold with them, which is a profit of 10.5M about cash and of 1.2M about MP. I guess EI items would not earning the same, because you must know the exact moment where you could buy some EI items and the exact moment you know these items would raise a lot.
So I guess you'll have more nice deals with cash shops, and always reinvest the gold you earned for another cash shop item smile
