Simon smiled down at Eve, then followed the man's gaze to the trio, "Sure are. Haven't heard the twins say a word, yet they communicate well... It's like there's a connection with all of the god-children, like they can communicate no matter the circumstances, hm?" This wasn't a technical rule that he had discovered or anything, just something he seemed to notice...
Daniel and Lydia glanced at each other, then sadly at Psyrin, though the smile was still in their eyes. Their glance seemed to say to each other how much they felt her sorrow at this thought...

"It's a fairly common finding" Fantom mused, fiddling with the ribbons in his child's hair. "Beginners courses in acting always state that how one's body is positioned and used often carries more meaning then the script. After all... No one will believe 'I'm over joyed!' if stated by a woman with a furrowed brow and clenched fists." "All the world's a stage, and the people mere players" the brunette muttered under her breath, purring these quiet words with the affection one might show only the closest of companions; Despite, of course, how she poked fun at her father's references. Fantom only chuckled and hugged his daughter with one loving arm.
Psyrin simply took a light breath and grinned at the other two. Sadness and sympathy were never her forte, and letting it taint a perfectly wonderful exchange would be no less then criminal. Unfortunately, she seemed to find herself at a loss of things to say... At least until the echos of carolers passed by the quickly closing front door. The slightest wave of euphoria took hold of the young deity and she again made the motions of laughter.

Simon waved a hand dismissively of those words, though it was in good nature, "Not into all that myself," he said simply with a shrug and a smile. He didn't continue to say that nature was more his thing. "But still, we rely on words to make sure our actions are completely understood regardless of that, and they don't have to." Communication was not really the druid's strong suit, either physical or vocal, so he had a bit of roughness about him, and just talked to this man made him feel a bit naive. That doesn't mean I'm about to go and take an acting class, though! he though emphatically, and it made him chuckle a little bit.
Lydia's eye laughed along with Psyrin's motions, and Daniel simply raised a brow at the two after staring after the carolers a moment. Lydia furrowed her brow a moment and nudged him, and his attention flickered a bit on her before focusing on Psyrin with the smile in his eyes as well. Lydia then acted a harder laugh, and Daniel shot a look of annoyance at her.

The young one's chest heaved a tad harder at the spectacle. Why did it always seem that the best sources of entertainment were always one's family and that of their friends? Happily, she thrust her arms out to the sides, spreading them wide as an invitation. Admittedly, this was fairly presumptuous seeing as how Daniel didn't strike her as the "Hugging" type. But she was just a child. What did she care of manners?
"We each see the world differently," Fantom stated with his usual matter-of-fact tone. "And I suppose to them, the world is more then a series of verbs... Purely speculation, of course~" he mused, not bothering to cover his lack of subtlety at the end of the topic. Eve, however, had grown tired of the talk and long since fixated on the decorations overhead. All sorts of plant life and shimmering orbs decorated the ceiling and she found their textures simply fascinating. Her hand extended towards one ornate sphere, pointing at the strange blue plant with the gold berries. "Papa? What's the name of that...?" Fantom glanced at the ornament. For a moment, he seemed utterly bewildered. "To be honest, I'm not sure, honey... Look like Holly."

Lydia grined, and hugged the girl. Daniel raised a brow at the pair, and Lydia grabbed his shirt and pulled him into the crook of one of her arms, hugging him close to Psyrin. Her eyes danced with delight, and Daniel looked quite annoyed at having been pulled into the hug, though made no move to pull away.
Simon nodded, and looked up at the plant, "It's a special kind of Holly, called 'Golden Girl' or 'Blue Holly'," he said, looking down at Eve. "It grows pretty much throughout the United States in patchy areas, as long as it gets cold enough and doesn't stay too warm too long." It seemed like his tone completely changed as he explained this, with an odd smoothness and slight matter-of-factness that sounded copied from Fantom. "Er, sorry."

Psyrin's wide grin could only grow wider as she snuggled in this pile of childish joy. True, asking almost strangers for hugs was a seemingly unorthodox way to establish one's friendship with annother, but... Hell if the results didn't pay off. After a few moments, she released the twins of her deathly affection; starting with the poor Daniel and then the lovely Lydia.
Meanwhile, Fantom could only gawk at the sheer fluidity of the other fellow's knowledge. The idea that someone might retain a bit of information that he himself did not posses was, to him, a preposterous idea! And yet, here he was, listening to the wisdom of annother. "No no..!" the man begged. "It's fascinating. My knowledge to plant life extends only as far as what can kill a rose bush... Paint thinners being one of them." This last idea seemed little more then an amusing afterthought, aided by a quaint smirk and a glance at his daughter, who in turn blushed slightly while staring up at the shimmering leaves.

Daniel scowled a bit, and his face grew hot in what would have been a blush had his skin not been so dark. Lydia, on the other hand, had bright eyes at the offer of friendship, and thwacked Daniel on the back, who huffed before finally softening a bit, his eyes lightening a bit to show he appreciated it regardless of being forced into the hug.
Simon wrinkled his nose at the other man, "You'll kill a lot more than a rose bush with that," he replied, following his gaze down to his daughter a moment before scanning over to the trio, then finally back to the man. "Cutting it down to a stump and drilling a hole in it, then dumping salt and vinegar in it is just as effective... Or boiling water. Or salt and vinegar sprayed on the leaves after being mixed with soap, if you really want." He smiled warmly, "Sorry, nature is something that I specialize in."

Fantom gave a gentle snort, recalling his original death which brought the beautiful young Goddess; coincidentally involving said artistic supplies. Aaaah, happily painful memories. Wait.. Is he saying something?! Snapping out of his trance, the actor caught only the bit about the Druid's specialty. "I see!" Fantom commented, as if he'd been paying attention all along. "I do so admire the grace and strength of outdoor life... I just never took a particular interest in things beyond a casual reference here or there. I suppose my mind was always on the stage." Wow... Saying that out loud seemed almost... Sad.
Almost.
Psyrin's bright eyes gleamed at their reactions, with only the barest of inclusion towards the notable reluctance. She brought her hands together, lacing her fingers together as she gave a silent laugh.

Simon chuckled, "Life is short, but art is long, hm?" He glanced about the building a bit, smiling at some of the pieces hung from the walls, displaying various scenes from various places around Gaia and from different times throughout history. This made him chuckle a bit, since he hadn't been in the cities for most of these events - the ones he'd been alive for.
Daniel scowled at her now again, but this time because he thought she was laugh at him. Lydia joined in the silent laugh and patted Daniel comfortingly on the shoulder. the contact of her hand seemed to make him relax a bit.
