Here is a place to paste any ideas that relate specifically to the Black Tower.

Here is a map I came up with for a rough draft of what the black tower grounds would look like.

There is a fighting ring and three archery ranges in the southwest corner of the grounds right next to the southwest entrance.

The maroon boxes are the houses reserved for the Asha'man. (The Asha'man can always choose to have a house in the town outside of the grounds surrounding the black tower, in Caemlyn itself or any other city in Randland, or an apartment inside of the tower itself.

The Orange boxes are Dedicated Quarters. These small houses each are two bedroom houses holding up to four dedicated per house.

The Gray box is the Black Tower itself, a building that when completed will likely be able to rival that of the White Tower.

The Purple box is the stable. Here you can find all the gear you need to go out on an adventure throughout the world.

The Yellow box is the Mess Hall. here you can get your daily meals between training and pick up any extra food you might need for an adventure or to keep in your home.

Black Tower Rankings

M'Hael: "Leader" in the Old Tongue, The M'hael is the equal of the Amyrlin Seat.

Rahien Din: "Dawn Brothers" These are the leaders of the Haran Din. They are called Dawn Brothers for they are said to be wise enough to see what is coming for the day.

Haran Din: "Hand of Brothers" The Haran Din (Haran for short) are the several organizations of the Black Tower that are similar to those of the Aes Sedai's Ajahs.

Asha'man: "Guardians" The Asha'man are the male equivalent of an Aes Sedai.

Dedicated: The dedicated are the male equivalent of an Accepted at the White Tower.

Soldier: The soldiers are the male equivalent of a Novice at the White Tower.

HARAN DIN:

Gold - The Golden Robes of this Haran Din represent the markings of the most secure bank in all of Randland. The members of this Haran are very skilled with their mercentile abilities and often find themselves rich later in life. The bank has shops setup in most of the major cities in Randland and is currently trying to expand their system. The main treasury is held at the Black tower somewhere in the Gold's hall. Each bank uses traveling to securely place all money and items safely in the treasury.

Red - Seeing as how red is the color of blood it only seems fitting that this is the Fighters Haran Din. This group is basically an organization of Mercenaries and they are often found on both sides of wars, as well as being in charge of most large groups of guards.

Brown - The Brown are almost identical to their White Tower Counterparts. These brothers always seem to be hiding their faces in a book, or trying to collect some sort of old artifacts. They are also the ambassadors to the Ogier Stedding.

Green - The Adventurer's Haran Din, the Green brothers are often finding themselves involved in some sort of heroic deed. The Green always seem to be getting into the thick of things, and doing what they feel is necessary to bring justice to the world.

Blue - The Blue brothers are basically the ambassadors between the Black & White Tower. They are the Asha'man who are most likely to find themselves bonded by a sister; though it is not a rule that other Haran Din can't be bonded, most others choose not to accept the bonding, whereas the blue consider it the greatest privilege available.

White - The Haran Din of peace and nutrality would be that of the White. These Asha'man are equivalent to the gray sisters of the White Tower. They train in negotiations and treaties and often find themselves as advisors to courts and nobles.

Purple - The Healers. These brothers work closely with the sisters of the yellow and try to provide at least one Aes Sedai or Asha'man to each major city in randland. Many of the others travel the world, seeking to cure all those they can.

Silver - The Haran Din of the Builders. these brothers work on the most complex buildings and gardens, making the greatest architectural masterpieces viewable to men. These brothers work closely with the Ogier masons and singers to help make the landmarks of a lifetime.

Black - The Beast Tamers. These brothers have worked in finding and taming wild animals and even breeding them for future generations to use. These animals contain everything from Dogs to the great to'raken brought to us by the seanchan.

Text Herethe only rank i accept is the m'hael.. because rand set it up so that it was already like the tower.. yet instead of being split they were united.

so we have

M'Hael: "Leader" in the Old Tongue, The M'hael is the equal of the Amyrlin Seat.
Asha'man: "Guardians" The Asha'man are the male equivalent of an Aes Sedai.
Dedicated: The dedicated are the male equivalent of an Accepted at the White Tower.
Soldier: The soldiers are the male equivalent of a Novice at the White Tower.

and thats as far as they split because we need unison in the tower if we are going ot stay as one. Also i dont know about the rest.. i really doubt it.. but ill have to discuss it with the amyriln to make sure

Just because Rand set something doesn't mean it has to stick. After all this roleplay is about US, the ROLEPLAYERS. Also this is set 100 years into the future and the tower would have likely advanced by this point. If you don't like these ideas you need to sculpt the future of the roleplays in some way, because right now the Black Tower is extremely lacking in any quality, and without something to look forward to most people won't be driven to obtain a higher rank.

Also there was no comments about the map... it was just a rough draft but what do you think... what else should we include and whatnot

thats true.. but if we stick to that basis lets bring in dwarves and night elves and turn it into WoW. This is a robert jordan thing which is going on.. not a movie.. we dont mess things up..

Also the black tower was created to rival and be better then the white tower.. not imitate them.. also we are warriors.. thats the whole point.. we can do other things.. but primarily we are worriors and are unbeaten.. thats why we won

If you noticed I made the number of factions 9 instead of 7, and only three (Brown represents brown, White represents gray, and purple represents the yellow ajah) of them reflect the ajahs of the Tower.

The Red faction would be the largest group, Seeing as how most Asha'man do wish to be warriors.

The Blue was an idea for asha'man to keep contact with the white tower, and I felt it was a great way for Aes Sedai to choose their warders among the tower.

The greens vaguely reflect the blues... but I felt that this one was just one that would leave alot of things open for people to do. This faction would constantly be plotting things in the way the world moves.

The Silver, Gold, and Black are two completely unique groups that would be great to incorporate with the one power and allow people to expand in a new direction.

The attitude of the Black Tower would have changed over the 100 years from when Rand ruled, as Tarmon Gaidon would have been over, leading to less of a need for warriors and a greater need for other public servants of the power. With or without these groups factions will eventually form, and without grouping them to where they can be controlled, they would likely grow out of control; just like the men who followed Mazrim Taim to try and bring down the Lord Dragon. With a set group of Ajahs (or Haran Din as I named them using the Old Tongue) they would act similarly to a democracies checks and balances.

I didnt even suggest having sitters, as I see this would cause too much debate. I figured that each group would have a head, and that head would report directly to the M'hael, each having their own sets of responsibilities. I think its something you really ought to consider, even if it involves tweaking or scratching my system and creating a new one.

If the map is accepted, I can draw a more detailed version based on the map.

That was my plan, I didn't want to begin a project like that without approval though.

Ah, well, I like most of your ideas, though since I've not read far enough in the series for the Black Tower to exist in the first place, my opinion is of little importance in the matter.

I agree totally with what you've said, and I think the leader should actually think about them. It is 100 years after and things will have changed. Of course if we had a history that would make everything easier.

I really enjoy these ideas...I think in a fan RP it is neseccary to implent new ideas, thats what makes them fun and interesting. If the tower begins to develop more I would really like to see them implemented to be honest...certainly reading over them makes me want to make a character.
